Power combos--Body Weapon and Power Channeling

I'm rolling up some random characters to get a feel for the system (and random is always fun for me). I got a character with both Body weapons (so he can turn his fingers into dagger and arms into swords and the like) and power channeling, which is basically Energy Expulsion: Melee.
Now, Power Channeling specifically states that it only works when you attack with "bare hands"-but if the individual in question can turn their hands into daggers--shouldn't it combine? I was thinking that this character would use EITHER the Power Channeling damage OR the Body Weapon damage (whichever is greater) as the base damage, and add the "+1d6 damage per level" for the levels above first.
Of course, he has to choose between his straight Strength bonus OR Power Channeling, so really Power Channeling wouldn't be that useful until he got a few levels under his belt.
Does this make sense as a house rule?
