Anyone else following this series on Sci-Fi or Space? It's not TWD but it's pretty good for those of us who don't get AMC.

There's 1 char in particular who I almost think might be based on Dead Reign's Half-Living OCC, since as time goes by he's exhibiting a lot of similarities to one.

Yes, I've been following it. It's a pretty nifty show, though it tends to give a nod to Sharknado (Which was made by the same people who made Z Nation...[sup]1[/sup]). Anyway, the show's equivalent to the Half-Living is very effective, and I notice a lot of similarities as well. Of course I think that one of the biggest differences with the zombies is that humans are not the only lifeforms that have been zombified. There have been occasions where dogs have become zombies, and there was a small fact in one of the recent episodes that bison from North Dakota have been as well. So there are differences as well as similarities. But anyway, I like the show (Not to mention it's sense of humor...), and have been following it since its debut on SyFy. Fans like me can look forward to a second season as well. Please take care; thanks a bunch, and have a good day.

You know eventually if they keep making Dead Reign sourcebooks that they will make some kind of non-human zombie strain!

Or at least someone will sew living dogs to the back of zombies, like a pidgeon-rat.

You betcha! :D Such could be that a Dead Reign sourcebook or article could be written which puts the characters about five to ten years into the future, where the zombie apocalypse has evolved and begun to turn animals into zombies as well. This would be especially so if the source of the zombies turned out to be Altrucure after all. But anyway, that's pure conjecture. Please take care; thanks a bunch, and have a good Veteran's Day.

I think it would be cool if there were zombies who ate our food, too.

Not that they would need it or prefer it to us or anything. Just like... if zombies went into a corn field and started eating your corn out of frustration from being unable to find brains, could ruin your crops.

*wonders if Thinkers are smart enough to torch corn fields to restrict the human food supply to pressure them into venturing outside their safety zone to acquire sustenence, guessing not, may be Mocker/Cultist territory*

I watched 15 minutes of the pilot and hated it so very much. My friend watches it and has generally good things to say and I also caught the Half-Living character from hearing his stories about it. It seems like that character is portrayed very effectively, for the most part.

You mentioned at http://www.palladium-megaverse.com/foru ... 7&t=138647 a wonder about whether or not zombies can get stoned in DR.

Page 34 under PE mentions that due to not breathing they are unaffected by toxic gas, so smoking or vaping should not influence them.

I am not sure if that means immunity to ALL drugs though... like not needing to breathe would not necessarily make them unaffected by injecting heroin into them.... but then it goes on to say poisons and drugs have no effect, so I think that is out too.

I wonder if spinning them around could make them dizzy or give them vertigo though....

I wouldn't know if dizziness or vertigo would cause trouble for zombies, but I thank you for answering my question Tor. :-) Please take care; thanks a bunch, and have a good day everyone.

I'm digging this show too. :-) By the way, has anyone checked out the Z Nation pages on SyFy's website? The website includes a lot of fun stuff that might be useful for inspiration. For example, one of the things included (According to the commercials) is a map that marks the route that the Murphy and the team took across the country. And Citizen Z maintains some social networking pages with fun tips too. Just thought I'd let you know. Please take care; thanks a bunch, and have a good day.

I'm beginning to wonder just how many zombie fictions might co-exist...

I'm not big on specific differences in detail which might out-rule co-existence, like the year the apocalypse occurred or whatev. I want to think Z-Nation and The Walking Dead are occuring in the same world somehow and that Rick and co are just more isolated, lacking connections like Citizen Z, but there's probably small details that disqualify this possibility.

Well according to when-will.net, Z Nation will be coming out (Estimated...) in Fall 2015. Hmm... one thing that's really interesting though is that if Z Nation has a good success rate with the viewers and the network, they will be able to keep it going for at least five years! :-D But that's if the show seems to do well and is henceforth not cancelled. Still, please take care; thanks a bunch, and have a good day.

Out of boredom and because new episodes of TWD hadn't aired yet a few weeks back I checked it out on Netflix. At first I thought it was campy. I continued to watch it and I got into. As I saw more of it I thought the shows creators read the DR books and turned it into a tv show. It's funny at times, but it can be serious too. I'm looking forward to season two.

I laughed my ass of when the zombies got into the Viagra and doc got one stoned. I think of the show happening at the same time as TWD. It's just they are dealing with it in their own way than Rick and crew. Glad to have two Z shows to mine for DR games.

There was kind of a nod to "Daryl's Bad Day" as I call it, Season 2 - Episode 5 - "Chupacabra" from The Walking Dead, with Doc, in the ventilation shaft, the grenade... and then him staggering up to the group outside, only to get shot. :D

Z Nation is a great show. My fiance and I have been watching it together and have not been disappointed.

Yeah, I also thought that it was funny when Zack got into the Viagra and got stoned on account of Doc. :-) Conversions aside; while some of Z Nation's antics are incompatible with Dead Reign campaigns, I find that a lot of it is. For example, while there aren't any zombified animals or their vulnerabilities to drugs, there is room to add radioactive zombies and other such things. Personally, I don't think anyone has touched upon adding radiation to a Dead Reign zombie's anatomy (Such is likely if he worked at a nuclear power plant, radioactive waste dump, or other such facility...), so it would be interesting to see what would happen. I would think that zombies who have been irradiated would spread radiation like they would spread fire if they were caught aflame, except the radiation wouldn't bother them as much. Even so, your mileage may vary. But still, please take care; thanks a bunch, and have a good day.

And for Final Fantasy fans the Zozo-esque oil refinery gantrywork was a nice touch. Not to implore the use of crossovers of course, but I could see a bunch of pattern zombies working parts of an industrial facility such as an oil refinery, even if they aren't getting anything done. With a lack of power and materials, zombies like this could be working physical machinery with no productive effort. Upset the balance of their "work" and you got a zombie horde on your hands. But anyway, please take care; thanks a bunch, and have a good day.

The end of the last resident evil has me chomping at the bit for a next movie. Most awesome end to a movie I have seen in a while.
