Had an idea to list all the invocations that were medical in nature and those related to the med. profession. Feel free to post your own spell groupings for other professions.


Medical Invocations and Medical Related Invocations
Those spells found outside of the Rifts Book of magic are noted with the book's abbreviation.
Level One
Globe of Daylight (immediate light and mild disinfecting)
Lantern Light (long lasting light
See Aura (examining health of the individual)

Level Two
Cleanse
Levitation (moving individuals and heavy stuff)
Manipulate Objects (moving light stuff)

Level Three
Breath with out Air
Float in the Air (moving large stuff and individuals)
Ignite Fire (start up fires for cleaning tasks and other tasks)
Light Healing
Negate Poison/Toxin
Paralysis: Lesser (HU2)
Telekinesis

Level 4
Cure Minor Disorders
Trance (keeping the individual calm)

Level 5
Calling (HU2) (summoning help or technical assistance)
Charm (keeping the individual calm)
Dominion (keeping the individual calm)
Heal Wounds
Mend the Broken (mend bones)
Sleep (lets people sleep when they can't)
Superhuman Endurance (helps with fighting shock and illnesses)
Sustain (lets those unable to eat have nourishment)

Level 6
Create Water (for cleaning and other uses)
Cure Illness
Energize Spell
Fortify Against Disease
Teleport (lesser) (get rid of bad stuff)
Tongues (lets the Dr talk to the individual being treated and others)
Words of Truth
Time Slip (gaining the Dr. a few sec of needed time.)
Fly as the Eagle (transporting people)

Level 7
Globe of Silence (blocks out things others need not hear)
Heal Self
Invulnerability (lets the Dr. treat those that are lassoing out at those around them due to primal impulses.)
Purification

Level 8
Force Bonds (restraining super strong people & beasties)
Greater Healing
Negate Magic (remove harmful magics)

Level 9
Purge Self
Restore Limb
Super Healing
Water to Wine (HU2) (make anti-septic)

Level 10
D-Pocket (stores stuff in stasis)
Mystic Portal (HU2) (transportation)

Level 11
Remove Curse (HU2)
See in Magical Darkness (letting the Dr see even in the dark)

Level 12
Time Hole (protecting the environment from bomb like things)

Level 13
Restore Life
Sanctum (protecting the treatment area from outside interference)
Talisman (storing useful spells)

Level 14
Restoration
Resurrection

Level 15
D-Portal (transportation)
D-Teleport (transportation)
Teleport (Sup.) (transportation)
Sanctuary (HU2) (protecting the treatment area from outside interference)

Spell of Legend
Hive Mind (OR teamwork)

I started a medical list.....but I realized really quickly that there were a LOT of medical spells (Just purely medical, or mostly medical ones)

I mean the OP didn't list Lifeblast (A good long duration support buff spell), or Healing Flame (A really effective heal/resurrection), Or Life Plant....
Or something like Deep Freeze (A really good spell for literally putting a trauma patient on ice), or Shadows of Death ....
Let alone any of the stuff that a mage can pick up from the various sub-schools.....
The rules are not a bludgeon with which to hammer a character into a game. They are a guide to how a group of friends can get together to weave a collective story that entertains everyone involved. We forget that at our peril.
