Shan Muo bonuses, human only?

Mystic China page 56: Would the M.E./P.E./P.B. bonuses and pluses to save vs possession/horror only apy so long as the character remains human? Like if they entered the Circle of Transformation that changed you to an elf or if a Priest of Kirgi made them a Ratling or if Tolmet made them a Quidnunc or if Old Nick made them a Devilkin or if Modes made them an Alu then would they lose all of these?
Or what if they died but reincarnated as a human due to enlightened immortality? Would the bonuses only apply to their first human life but not any consecutive ones?
