Mounts & Travel Options

Unread post by Tyberius »

I'm trying to put together a list of various mounts and traveling options for a game I'm looking to do. Mostly looking for land based riding creatures, and any variations of Horses and beats of burden. For Example the Silonar for Eandoth. Any help and support is appreciated.

Thank you.

Off the top of my head and without my books being handy:

Real-world options include Mules, donkeys, camels, and elephants. Zebras can also be trained and ridden like horses (though it's something of a pain to do so from what I hear). Some types of oxen can work too, more for pulling than carrying/riding. Most of these have counterparts you can find in Monsters & Animals

Palladium Fantasy special mounts include:
Pegasus: Ridden in Bizantium by an elite group of marines. Sometimes sold at the Isle of the Cyclops.
Griffons: Trained exclusively at the Isle of the Cyclops
Ubaru: Used in the Northern Hinterlands (I think) and somewhat endangered.
Wooly Mammoths (called something else): Wolfen in Wolfen Empire ride them. They smell bad.
Silonar: Mostly ridden by Eandroth.

Are you looking for material from the books or fan created stuff. For fan creations, there is the Monstrous Creations thread at the top of this forum.
