I was glancing at page 147 and I totally understand why there is a penalty to strike foes with long range combat...
But why is there also a bonus to dodge?
If anything I'd think there'd be a penalty to dodge because you couldn't see the attacks coming either.

Re: Summon Fog is WEIRD
It is a C-P from BTS1
Why is there a +2 to dodge...*shrugs*
The only thing I can think of is that the -5 Strike numbers is based off the Cloud of Smoke PFRPG1 fire elemental spell's -5 to S/P/D (ie combat rolls)
There is a summon fog L1 H2O elemental spell in PFRPG1 but that doesn't have any penalties attached to it. (The BTS1 book has the same defining text as the PF1 spell text)
(sidetrack: thought there are many times the PB writers seam to write in ways that assume that the GM/player will attach an idea from something already written elsewhere to some-other text that seams to have be written after the previous text.)
*shrugs*
