What is the creature on the BTS1 cover? ANSWERED!

I know this has been a question asked before, but the threads have been lost to the mists of the forums' pasts...

However, we now have a definite answer: Artist Richard Corben made up one of his own! Mr. Corben is quoted thus in a collector card displayed by the Facebook page House of BTS (you know who you are :-D) in the following post:

Somehow I've missed this question all these years as I'd have answered it. :)

Side note: Due to this realization I'm adding the pictures of the card to both the House of BTS website and Discord.
