the automatic "mental dodge" of Shift Internal Organs

Unread post by Plane »

When reading page 160 of Mystic China, does this seem like something one would have to choose in lieu of other defensive options like a parry, or something one could use as a backup plan if a parry failed?

The bonus is pretty impressive but if you had a parry bonus that was higher then it wouldn't seem as useful except to impress foes.

Seems like it could synergize well with paired weapons since you lose your automatic parry when doing a twin weapon attack but I don't know if that would remove your automatic dodge.

As a GM I would say that is the player decides to do both Parry and dodge, both would have to be auto-dodge & auto-parry.
May you be blessed with the ability to change course when you are off the mark.
