IF a spell caster has the psionic power of Mask P.P.E can they use it first then cast a spell?

Will the casting of a spell be hidden (Sense Magic, Dog Boys senses) while the psionic power of Mask P.P.E.?

The book says, "This power is especially good as protection against Psi-Stalkers and other P.P.E. vampires," so
does the spell provide 'protection' of some form so they can't lose P.P.E.?

Yes they can use it first and then cast a spell, making their personal PPE reserve appear to be 1d4PPE.

IMHO, No the the Mask PPE power does not "hide" spell casting from magic sensing as the spell expenditure can still be sensed (though if they can pinpoint to the mage they sensors might think it was a magic "device" of some kind like a scroll, talisman, TW, etc). What the Psi-Power does is make the PPE levels of the person in question to appear "normal" to them and not a potential meal (PPE Shield in the Super cat. would prevent PPE vampires from feeding on them).
