Wormwood M.D.C. question

I know that all humans on Wormwood are M.D.C. creatures. I just don't know what their M.D.C. is. The occ's provide "bunus's" to the base M.D.C. but doesn't say what the base is. Do you make a character just like you would on rifts earth and convert all sdc and hit points into M.D.C.? I can't find it in the Wormwood book, although I'm sure it's there somewhere. HELP!

Simple : MDC is equal to the combination of the SDC and Hit points a normal human would have

That's what I thought. Thanks.

It's been a while since I last looked at Wormwood, but I thought they just had Hit Points (PE + 1D6/Level) turn to MDC, with any OCC bonuses to their MDC adding to that total.
I'll have to check this when I get home...
You are correct. It's in a fairly obscure portion of the book lol...

Related to the topic of mega-damage humans, I was told that Wormwood humans don't have supernatural strength. If so, how could they hurt each other in a fistfight?
Otherwise, it changes what brawl is

It's a weird case ... a) it's said NOWHERE that they have supernatural strength, nor that they have the carrying capacity associated with it, nor do they do the kind of damage regular creatures with SNS do.
b) they ARE able to damage each other and the various MDC denizens of Wormwood with bare fists and conventional weapons, like staves or resin swords, doing the regular damage for such weapons or blows (equivalent to normal SDC damage) + strength bonus..
Since there is no explanation or special rules anywhere, I explain it by the fact that their Wormwood origin makes them lesser supernatural creatures, and as such able to damage MDC beings and structures.
Logic would have it that they should be able to hurt ONLY beings, and not non supernatural MDC items (like, say, resin armor), but the fact is that they do.

Wormwood humans are a strange case. They are sort of like human phase weapons. They do SDC to SDC targets and MDC to MD targets.
Strange but that's it.

Welcome back, Doom. Your input has been needed on many questions.

Everytime I see someone post this question I am more and more convinced that people would be better of converting it to HP and SDC, like I did. It gets rid of a LOT of problems and, IMHO, made it more fun.

Somehow I knew keeping this would help out...here is the answer I received when I asked the same question via e-mail.
> In closing...the book (Wormwood) states that native humans are minor MDC
creatures, but I can not find any mention of what their base MDC value is...
(PE? XD6? a flat value?)
Create the character normally, and then convert Hit Points to MDC on a 1-1
basis.

That's a neat approach.

Did you convert the entire world or just humans to HP and SDC?

That would make eating the worms pretty difficult

Here's how I handle wormwood humans. MDC I take their HP and whatever SDC they get as per their class and physical skills and add it together that's their MDC as far as their doing MD damage their punches do the same damage as normal SDC human attacks except that it does it in MDC and they add their PS damage bonus to it, the same goes for all wormwood weapons such as resin swords and staves. That's my way of running wormwood chars.
Hope that helps

This has gotta be the most often asked question of this particular sub forum

Actually that is only one way to handle it the other is to say that due to the nature of wormwood that they do MDC damage equal to the sdc damage that a normal human would do. The same goes for Weapons they use as well. This is how I do it.
