I don't want him to be evil, yet he might get involved in questionable dealings. He also is friends with a Star Elf Shifter.

I've tried: Mind Melter, Burster and am leaning towards Mind Bleeder.

(and before you reply no to that one, p43 of the Phase World book says that Mind Bleeders exist in most parts of the 3 Galaxies -- so it's a good bet they're not all humans.)

I definitely don't want an Operator or Psi-Tech or assassin.

Anyone have any other suggestions ? It doesn't have to be just Rifts.

Hmmm, Astral Lord ?... that might fit with a shifter...
Actually Mind Melters are a PCC; Mind Bleeders are a separate D-Bee Race, are they not??

Mind Melter would be a good P.C.C. for a Changeling.

But you can also make a Super Spy (see Rifts: Mercs).

Bleeders are PCCs...

Sword Bearer from Nightbane 2: Nightlands? :D

Keeping it Three Galaxies, Phase Mystic?

Other than that... It depends on what idea you have. A "typical" Changeling would be a spy type character. An atypical character could be anything from a brick to a school teacher.

(If you really want to play with the GM's mind, you can always use the Changeling Metamorph! ;))

Mindbleeders are a separate d-bee race however other races can be Mindbleeders. The stats are the same.

Palladium can't make up its mind about them it seems.

What a Runner OCC. That could be a pretty cool combination.

Cosmo-Knight :D

*ahem*

I would suggest classes that can substantially benefit from the changeling's shapeshifting power, such as Galactic Tracers/Bounty Hunters, assassins, spies, smugglers, thieves, etc. Basically anyone for whom anonymity is a necessity.
There you go man, keep as cool as you can.
Face piles of trials with smiles. It riles
them to believe that you perceive the web they weave
and keep on thinking free.

I would do a rogue scholar changling. Possibly a Gambler (new West).
With the changling, I love the opportunities to get into trouble, and then have to think my way out. The rogue scholar gives me plenty of skills to do my thinking with, and maybe a little extra character motivation to take some risks.
when you get right down to it, Sentinel's right.~Uncle Servo.

Sentinel. you'll be always loved by the German Princess.~Nelly

That's twice in one day Sentinel has cleaned up my mess.~The Galactus Kid.

That's the best place to start. Otherwise, listen to Sentinel~lather

Listen to the Sentinel...he speaks truth.~ Shadyslug

Sentinel you have the biggest sig I've ever seen~Natasha
