Just curious if anyone out there knows why Joe Martin gave up on Recon. Looking for more than just the few lines in the intro to "Deluxe Revised Recon." Also, does anyone have any contact info for him?

You could always try a phone book . . .
I get the idea that there have been many, many attempts at an update of Recon over the years. All have been abandoned either because 1) The author wasn't up to the task or 2) The author didn't complete their work in a timely manner or 3) External factors put the project on hold.
The last big attempt that I have knowledge of was to be authored by Maryann. She could give the appropriate details on wht happened with that project.
