Tromm the First.

Does the Emperor Tromm appear anywhere in Rifts other than the brief mention in the main book?
If not, do you suppose he'll get a mention in Chaos Earth?
When was he supposed to have ruled, anyway?

Wow. Um, where was he mentioned in the MB? I don't remember reading about him...

As I recall that was a misprint.

Hm.
Well, I guess that's all for Tromm then.

There was mention is one of the Rifters about Tromm, during an interview. It apparently was either the original name for Prosek or just a place holder until a name was chosen. Either way, it was in one or two places in the first print run of the Rifts Main Book.

Either that or the Coalition propaganda machine was successful in eliminating any evidence of the first CS Emperor.

Hm. That just shows how old my books are.

I like that answer. It contributes to a paranoid conspiracy theroy, suitable for the world of Rifts.

rifts main book second edition printing page 218 here's a quote

the coalition state of free quebec is the only kingdom within the coalition that manufactures and deploys glitterboys a policy that will be discontinued if emporer tromm has anything to say about it. (he seeks a consistent and unified force and GB's are not part of his plan) it goes on to talk about that being a cause for discontent between FQ and CHi-town. i always wondered what happened to emporer tromm........

There is a way of using that typo. Maybe have a Coalition game where a general named Tromm attempts a coup that the CS players have to stop. And of course it's kept all hush-hush so the rest of Rifts Earth never finds out.

Tromm was a pro-d-bees supporter and Erin Tarn's lover and member of the coalition senate, he spoke out against the proseks and all files on him were erased along with him

I believe Tromm will factor into my Rifts' history: the ideas I've read here have given my thoughts some momentum.

Rifter 9.5 page 17:

"Tromm was Prosek's unflattering childhood nickname (much like "Stinky"). Anyone who is foolish enough to utter this nickname in earshot of Prosek is summarily executed as a traitor to the State."

:-D
