Simple I would run it during world war two
the charaters are on a cruise ship coming back
from europe. Some of the passengers are jews trying
to flee nazi europe. A few people are nazis, in a courner
of the building are comunists, kicked out due to stalins
ever present paranoa. Who knows what they keep talking
about in hushed tones but it cant be good.
Theres a bacarat table were the rich folks keep playing
the dames on the rich boys arms have a past they dont like
talking about. Yea theres a lot of folks with a lot of things they
dont want to talk about. Too bad their on a ship of the damned.

Svartalf- if Cherico were a character created in a point game system, he'd have all his scores in geeky skills and his youtube and weird net stuff schticks all paid through a a Terminal Bad Luck (with more nasty GM intervention) disadvantage, and probably an Uncouth (can not have social skills) disad as well...
In an RPG with deadly situations that character would have had to be replaced a dozen times over[

I'd set it up as a series of brief adventures, and I'd call them collectively "Bermuda Shorts."
What Monster will you use?
UFOnauts from the original game would go well, if the PCs aren't hip to their true nature.
Or some monster hiding on an abandoned boat of some sort.
Whatever it was, I don't think I'd have the creature be seen very often (if at all)... that's a good way to build up suspense.

There is always the I was going to bermuda and then angle. But more importantly what is the bts stance on the triangle? Is it a time flux area where time does and doesn't pass? Is it a gateway to other worlds? If it is both you could have the villains be ufos or other people trapped in the triangle from over the years, for example those pilots in WWII who disappeared there or a german u-boat from WWI or colonial sailors etc.

set them up crash landing on an island in the middle of the bermuda triangle. Then...depending on my players may have a zombie shoot (See HEAVY METAL for ideas...namely, the WW2 episode)...
or a mystery case, in which they have to find out this bermuda island is A) full of ghosts of the past B) Appears and disappears C) If they are on the island when it disappears, they too will become ghosts. If your a RIFTS player, The idea is in one of them called "Phase Towns", I think. But, before they can escape, they have to solve the mystery. As to what the mystery is, like why this island is a portal to hell (I'm not too keen on having Dimentional teleport in BTS, for me, most portals will either be portals to hell or heaven), and how to escape it.

Yeah, that's it a fade town that's really an island.

How Epic?
I didn't read any of the posts beyond the intial one, so that I could present my ideas uninfluenced by them. They might be similar, and if so, that means that at least 2 people thougth along the same lines...
QUESTION 1: How epic do you want the story?
RESPONSE 1: Epic is scale. Did a small yacht venture into the unknown, or did a Carnival cruise liner? The impact is obvious. Better yet... how about a US Navy attack submarine or AIRCRAFT CARRIER. The difference sets the tone of your game. Perhaps some of the pilots on a carrier are psychic... perhaps some of the petty officers are, as well. And... just perhaps, one might be a werewolf. In the Bermuda Triangle. Sets the stage for interesting adventure.
QUESTION 2: To what ends will the PCs adventure?
RESPONSE 2: If they vanish in the triangle, do you want to make their struggles involve the mere act of survival, or have they been teleported to another world... in which they fight for bigger causes? Survival on a yacht or cruise ship or carrier might be more limited than you might think. In the end, it depends on a ratio of people to gallons of fresh water and food supply before they need to land... somewhere. Further, is TIME TRAVEL involved? Maybe they journey in time as well as in place. It might be interesting to see a modern cruise ship's influence during a major sea battle in past history.

The Love Boat...
Think: LOVE BOAT, only in the Bermuda Triangle! Make it a comedy. Maybe everyone knows that the cruise ship will sail through those haunted waters. Maybe everyone loves the thrill of it and it packs the cabins, sort of like all of those haunted hotels and restaurants on the Travel Channel bring in the customers.
So, no one *really* believes that anything will happen. The cruise is like a convention for UFO enthusiasts and new age types, etc., with panels, authors, media guests... You get the idea. However, during one such voyage... "something" happens and there you have it. The stage is set, and RIPE with just the kinds of people who might venture into the Devil's Triangle. And maybe there are stow-aways. And several people who warned against the route of the voyage (because they had some fore knowledge).
Might be a fun 2 or 4 night struggle to survive and return to tell about it. Could be the stage for some freakish fun.

My god. I think I'm gonna use that idea for a one-shot BESM horror game.

Ther is My Idea
Some one Very rich hire a ship for a week long Holloween cruise around The Caribbean Sea,the rich man have Special effects made on the ship.
The Crew and the Passengers think it,s all fake but Days later they go into the Bermuda Triangle and only hours after they go into the Triangle Strange things start.
A Ship call the Coral princess can have a crew of 895 and 1974 passengers.

NOAA
A hurricane-configured National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) C-130 aircraft enters into one of the largest hurricanes predicted to hit the Gulf of Mexico in a century.
Finally penetrating the dense cloud wall surrounding the eye of the storm, they eject probes to test wind velocity and gather other atmospheric measurements. One of the crew, the navigator or pilot, is psychic and gets a "real bad feeling..."
Lightning intensifies, then gets multicolored. Plasma (super-heated gas) flares throughout the entire eye, taking out the engines. They spot an island not on any charts. It shouldn't BE there! They prepare for an emergency landing.
Now, it's open... The story can go in different directions:
1. Jurassic Island: while dodging prehistoric predators, they discover an ancient, Mayan-type pyramid. They enter, avoiding Indiana Jones styled traps, discovering a portal in the depths of the pyramid...
2. Heavy Metal Island: like the beginning of Heavy Metal, when that pilot parachutes to an island and is attacked by living dead. Only, this island's shores are littered with thousands of beached vessels, from ancient galleys to small yachts to an oil tanker. And the crews... are all living dead.
3. Lovecraftian Horror: they land the plane, try to salvage, fix it (Flight of the Phoenix) but are assaulted by tentacled monstrosities that dare them to go insane. They fight them off long enough to construct a flying plane... and as they prepare for lift off, the chase begins when Cthulu styled monsters pursue them into the air. Do they make it...?
