2 for sure, but I suspect the Prometheans, being decent merchants have designed it all that way.

IF either hpase field, is built into an armor , robor, or power armor, then i say yes.

Also, I guess rigging phase tech to activate on mental command
(via jack), or remote control is a simple tinkering - ie. possible.

So I more or less leaning towards the first alternative.
