"Sensus"? What's that mean? Did you mean to say consensus? Or census? Either way, I can't parse what it is you meant or are trying to say. If you meant the consensus is that something for PF will be available in 2008, then I have to ask: the consensus among who, exactly? When Kevin announces a book, best take it with an extra-large grain of salt until you have the book in your hands. Unless it's a Rifts title, that is.

Sad to say, but--these days--the distance between announcing a new PF book & its release date and it actually being published is pretty big. (Remember Mysteries of Magic, anyone? When was that supposed to have been released?)

LOL... hrmm.. interesting.. now.. from one fisherman to another, you gotta use the PROPER bait... I don't really care about Wolfen Wars. In fact, I really don't think the meta-plot books should be put out. The setup is there.. let each GM handle it their way. Now, if you had used Mysteries of Magic, or the OK Books... THEN you might have gotten a nibble on the hook..

I've half-given up on Mysteries of Magic. If I had more time, I'd pitch them a rewrite, with whatever changes they were looking for, but as it is, I figure that if it gets published, eh.

Hell, if they told me that it was rejected I'd have it on the internet in about 30 minutes (after I stripped out their spells and OCCs that I converted). Nothing else I can do with it.

I'll seconded that. That is what annoyed me most about Seige on Tolkeen. Not the outcome, just the change in meta-plots and the world situation. At least then the world was all ready more or less dealt with, unlike Palladium where there are still vast areas left undetailed, like the Old Kingdom and the Land of the Southwind (and Yin-Sloth could be converted, and Bizantium done better), before they start changing things around.

I going to disagree about metaplot. If done well can advance the story immensly. While I like to build my own background having an existing one to work with and alter is a big bonus. I just really do not feel like investing time and energy into a complete background creation. I respect those that do but not for myself at this time

There has to be some absolutes in the exisitng game world. It cannot just stay static. Things change. Not so much in PF though it does change.

As for SOT. I liked most of it. Was badly needed imo though the execution of it was done poorly imo.
If it's stupid and it works. It's not stupid

Palladium can't be given a free pass for criticism because people have a lot of emotion invested in it.

Pathfinder is good. It is not the second coming of D&D.

Surshot is absolutely right. (Kevin Seimbeda)

Question about MoM

Will there be special OCCs for the Priests of different gods/Pantheons?

He can't say what WILL be in it. Because it could always be removed during editing. And that would then make him look like a liar. And then we'd have to start taunting him, and set fire to his britches...

There were not special priests for different gods/pantheons in the manuscript. I did include some different options for priests, however... different sets of skills and powers which made them a bit more flexible... other things that they can do aside travel around and get people to pray.

I'm pretty shure there is no Land of Darkness, Now if you were talking about The Land Of the Damned 3 (LotD 3), it has been put off indefinatly sence Coffin finished it years ago, with the excuse that Keven needs to Edit it.

It's been said before and I'll say it again.

PF will follow the Path of Robotech.
in 2008 we will get 3 books, then in 2011 PB will drop the licence.

PF will follow the Path of Robotech.
in 2008 we will get 3 books, then in 2011 PB will drop the licence.

PF isn't a license.

that's part of the joke.
it was 1st raised a couple of years ago, (2005?) that PB would abandon PF officialy, like it did to Robotech.

Huh, where are all of the fanboi's to remind us how Palladium just almost went bankrupt and they couldn't dare risk putting out a PF book.

Seriously though, I think we all just need to blame MrNexx. If he had edited his book at all, it wouldn't be taking this long. :-D

Hey, you don't write that much about magic without having SOMETHING on the ball.

And don't you have a LIFE? What do you do aside from post?
