Need 3 galaxies help...

Unread post by Nxla666 »

My PCs are going there and I was thinking about giving them a ship to use (some old clunker that makes the Millenium Falcon look new), and cant find one that I like.

Any suggestions?

I rather like the Gas Collector (converted for solid cargo) or a Starfish. It gets em around but not much more.

Rifter 34 has star ship construction rules for a galactic tracer. The rules can easily be modified to suit your needs or give you some good ideas.

Or any ships in the Three Galaxies DB 6 should work :D

Rifter #34 is the best way to go, provided you can find one (it's sold out). But Carl has a family to feed, so you better pick up Three Galaxies... ;)

Failing all that, use the stats for a Typical Runner ship, or Typical Merchantman found in the back pages of the main Phase World book (around pg. 171, I think).

If that doesn't prompt you to buy it, I don't know what else I can say.

Just make it up. You clearly have an idea on what you are looking for. Keep the MDC of the main body arround 2k or less given its a klunker, keep the speed to 3-5 light years per hour and sublight to 6-10 mach, lower may be better again its a klunker and very limited weapon systems. The only edge they should have is stealth coding so they can realtivly easily avoid a fight after all the three galaxies is a dangersous pace.

For a clunker, toss in some quirks like flinkering lights, air that spells of fish(or worse), and a critical bad roll on firing weapons(like a 1 or 2) causes the targeting system to reboot(lose all bonuses and go to manual) or worse...
Have random parts fall out of the ceiling spaces, leaving players to ask "Is this important?".

Leave the previous ownership/inspection records laying about...have players discover, after some study, that most of them are forgeries or retouched...

I have #34, as well as all the 3 Galaxies books, I just cant decide what to use.

It needs to be big enough for 6 characters, their vehicle (a Snow Lion knock-off from Rifts Canada), and some cargo.

I thought about using the construction rules from HU Galaxy Guide. :-?

Anybody else use them before?

Very nice! I like it! It fits with the pic well!
"Your Grace," she said, "I have only one question. Do you wish this man crippled or dead?"

"My Lady," the protector of Grayson told his Champion, "I do not wish him to leave this chamber alive."

"As you will it, your Grace."
