reprints will have all the same data as the original. My RMB was like 7th printing...and it was exactaly like my buddies third printing...errors and all.

Oh they will be proven wrong. I didn't spend the better part of my internship marking up my original copy of RUE full of the errata for it to be ignored.

If the errors are patched up, I'll gladly get a copy.

Then consider your efforts to have racked up at least one more sale for PB.

hahaha. You have to pry it form the hands of Kevin and Wayne. That is what they are using as reference. They just gave me a new copy and sent me on my way. hahaha.

Though I'd like to say the same, I think I'll hold off a bit to see if the second printing actually has the needed corrections before jumping on one myself. If it does, Woo Hoo! If not, that'd be a shame.

I'm in the same boat. I've refused to purchase RUE to date solely on the principle that I'm sick of Palladium not addressing errata like even much smaller RPG companies manage to do without a problem. That there isn't a downloadable .pdf document for this title (and, indeed, so many others) is simply a shame.
That said, if the 2nd printing is thorough in addressing not only gramatical and layout issues but also more substantive ones like the missing spells, I'll be picking up a copy. Here's to hoping...
I didn't pick up RUE for all sort of reasons (all of them issues with Palladium's quality or lack thereof), but if the second printing is nice and clean with all the errata taken care of then I'll certainly pick it up.
Hmm, well im not buying another RUE for 40 bucks, but I would not mind getting an official errata for a few bucks. But I was expecting the fixes to be mentioned in the RUESB:1

Or at the very least in one of the Rifters.
If it's stupid and it works. It's not stupid
Palladium can't be given a free pass for criticism because people have a lot of emotion invested in it.
Pathfinder is good. It is not the second coming of D&D.

And dont forget Galactus Kid, I gave the links/lists of all of the online erratta that the fans/critics pointed out, so some of your work was done for you! (much love for you hippy!!!)

EPIC wrote:i am not going to be picking up a new RUE just to have all of the errata ... that should be provided for free as a common curtesy for buying a 1st printing that was full of mistakes.
Kevin has long said that he would post the errata on line once RUE's second print came out.
I can't fault people for worrying that their will be no errata in the second printing. It's not like PB has the best track record for releasing errata on their products. The only real way to silence people on this topic is for the second printing to be released with the errata included. While also releasing a PDF a week or two later after the second printing hits the shelves.

EPIC wrote:i'm with you on this one Sureshot ... Rifts is great, the setting is fantastic, the rules are good, the publications just need a little bit more love in the errata department.
Am I the only one that realizes there are pages of errata notes stickied to the top of this forum?

The Lord of Bones wrote:I think the only problem with the stickied erratta thread is that a lot of the 32 pages of it isn't actually erratta, it's unofficial (but mostly well thought out) discussion. I think people are expecting erratta such as the official erratta pages on the main page of the site. Or a pdf. Either way is fine with me, as long as it's posted.
You pretty much hit it on the head LOB. Sure there is a link to errata at the top of the page but:
- Most of use don't feel like going through 32 pages to find stuff.
- a simple file with link incorporating all the errata in the new version should not be to hard for PB to do.
-PB released a book with errors. PB responsability to provide the errata.
