There is a big mall in between the Ramada and PB HQ, movie theatres, food places, lots of shops, bars,etc...Nxla666 wrote:#2: What, besides the Open House, is there to do?
All up and down Telegraph road. Call ahead to the Ramada and they may be able to point things out to you.Nxla666 wrote:#3: Where are the good eating spots?
Nope.Nxla666 wrote:#4: Will I be the only one acting like a damn Fanboy?

I can only attest to the Ramada's coolness, I didn't really look into any others.
#2: What, besides the Open House, is there to do?
Do you really NEED anything but the Open House and after-hours gaming?
#3: Where are the good eating spots?
There is a Denny's right next to the hotel where NMI, the Mannings, Mr. and Mrs. Reelman, Levi Johnstone, Jason Richards, Reroll Much?, Brandon Aten, Taylor White, and my group (I know there were others, but my memory fails me) hung out that Saturday night and ate. It wasn't bad.
#4: Will I be the only one acting like a damn Fanboy?
Given previous responses and my observations from last year, I woud venture to guess no. Personally, I try to avoid it as much as possible, but I suffer the occasional slip.
#5: Anybody with 4 VIP tickets they cant use?
I would say try and sneak in the back door, but that's where you're let in. I don't even have a VIP ticket for this year.[/quote]

1) Ramada is great. just make sure that you reserve your room. hmmm...i need to do that soon.
2) Well, you can go into Detroit if you want. Many of us just hang out and chat until they kick us out of the warehouse and then we all go either back to the hotel or we decide on a place from there.
3) There is pretty much anything you could ever want on Telegraph Rd, and then some. There is also a Denny's right next to the hotel where, as Warwolf said, you can find almost any of us burning that midnight oil.
4) Hell no. I've written a book, worked with Palladium, and I still act like a damn fanboy. Just remember, we're all normal guys and fans of it just like you. Just be yourself. We try to be open, humorous, and approachable.
5) hahaha. I don't have any tickets, and I don't think I'm going to buy them. Something tells me I'm in the clear on that one.

Oh, the question about whats there to do is for after the OH, only one of my group has ever been to MI, and that was while he was in the Navy, so after the event we were considering spending a couple days see in the sights such as they are.
And the VIP tickets are kind of a running gag with the group, its on my B-day so we talked about getting the tics, decided to get the tics, found out they were sold out by the time we went to order the tickets.

I hate you all! just kidding guys, I just want to go so bad, and I probably won't be able to make it. Hanging out at Dennys, playing some Rifts, even though we just spent 12 hours playing at the warehouse, and eating some good food. I know I shouldn't be jealous I should be happy for everyone else who is going, nah screw it I'm not that noble I'm going to be jealous to my hearts content *lears at everyone who has tickets and gives them the one eyebrow up and one down stare*
I guess I could act like my 4 year old does sometimes: I WANNA GO!

Screw it, run the checkpoint and hole-up at the warehouse (it's big enough to hide your vehicle inside from INS). I think attending the Open House would be worth being detained for questioning.
Of course, you could always smuggle yourself over in a shipment of maple syrup.
I'm sorry, I couldn't resist that one...

Those are some good answers.
I like this one the most.

Unfortunately the answer to this question for me isn't (NO I DON'T) for I need pre-Open house gaming as well. If you guys are up for it tell me what hotel you'll be staying at and I show up early to run some pre games.
