Since my hubby and I will be in Detroit on Saturday, and we won't be attending the Open House 'till Sunday, I was wondering if anyone has tips on places to eat, or things to see.

I have no personal knowledge of Detroit beyond what I saw last year at the Open House. One of my co-workers is from Detroit though, and he says there is an excellent Greek-town area, with wonderful food he recommends.

A great place to visit is Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn. Its an all day adventure.

But they sell Old Timey candy there!

There's more, but you've only got a day. I consider myself an ambassador for Detroit. I could talk all day about the city, its history and what's happening right now but I won't bore you.
Ahh, very nice Gideon. I will have to consult with my wonderful husband and see what he would like to do. I'm always up for some fabulous food.
Also, hopefully other people will get use out of everyone's responses, since I'm sure we'll have some folks who've never been to Detroit before... even if I did start the thread for selfish reasons...
