Karaoke Night at the Brick

Unread post by Jefffar »

So the entire Lazlo gang has all crowded into the Brick. Hollister has his Black Rabbit, Koyla his Vodka, Celeste her Bloody Mary and Ron a glass of water (someone has to drive). Everyone is nursing their favourite drinks when Kelly wheels out the Karoke machine.

So, aside from an all-Society rendition of Ghostbusters, what do you think eveyone will sing?

I'll start off here, Ron would do Rusty Cage ala Johnny Cash, oh and he'd throw in a harmonica solo at the end since he has the skill.

Ron has a secondary skill in singing (hymns back in the compound) and a professional skill in harmonica (from time in the compound and living alone on the streets for a few years and in the institution).

Another tune from Ron: Iron Man, Black Sabbath

(Can anyone else actually sing, or will the others sound like a bunch of cats? :-P )

Natasha was in a band, sort of. Professional quality singer, too.

Maybe they could duet.. hehe.

Michael T has pro singing and would do Queen's It's a Kind of Magic, Ride the Dragon by Manowar, and any thing else he thinks will get groans out of the others.

Tell that to Simon Cowell.

It took me a minute (literally) to get this.

Let's say "in karaoke it is illegal ..."

Who is Simon Cowell?

Natasha would sing:
    Tourniquet by Evanescence in English
Catastrophic by Night Snipers in Russian

I need a Hero? Well, honestly, I can only envision the Fairy Godmother singing that song anymore thanks to Shrek.

And for some reason the vision of Holister doing I will survive popped in my head. Make it stop, please.

Yea, I heard of it.

I think Webber even did the music, and usually I like his music.

I just have a bad feeling about West Side Story. Like Omni said, gotta be good actors and I do not know actors well enough to judge.

I got a bunch of requests, especially for LazNat. Next time we are all in Moscow...

She could do Doubled Up by Heather Nova exceptionally well.
Pork n Beans by Bettie Serveert.
History Repeating by The Propellerheads (hehe).

Kolya can do Motorcrash by The Sugar Cubes after getting blitzed.
Then the obligatory Sober by TOOL, if he's still standing.

Was just talking to Natasha and we agree that Kolya has to do Bad Company by Bad Company. Please call us, we miss you!

LazNat needs a dude to duet with on El President by Drugstore and we are not letting her go until she sings Seether by Veruca Salt (so we can all fall over laughing).

Sasha can do Pearl Necklace by ZZ Top and maybe throw a couple pearl necklaces out on the crowd at arbitrary intervals during the song. Maybe.

Got a brain burrower on your forehead, here, let me squish it for you.... as Bert breaks into a passionate Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go without reading the teleprompter and even improving a few lines spicing it all up with a few "hey"s and "yea"s.

I hate you, btw :P

How about Slow Dog from Belly and Hold On from Motorbaby? I think LazNat could do those songs.
