Skill set ideas needed

Unread post by Braden Campbell »

I am in the midst of creating a new Phase World race. Long story short, they were a dying species until a Consortium starship found them, and helped them become CCW members. Now they have settled on many planets, their race is saved, and they think they owe it all to Humans (because it was a human crew that first discovered them).

They have an RCC called a Servitor. Basically, they try to repay Humanity by becoming servants/body guards for a Human.

What kind of skill set should these guys have? (they are a galactic-level tech race which never developed rocketry or any kind of space tech). Is there already an "indentured man-servant OCC" anywhere I can use.

If that doesn't prompt you to buy it, I don't know what else I can say.

better idea than my thought. was gnna suggest a blending of the 'vagabond' .. and a 'tattoo master' dude from atlantis ... mainly cause THEY would already have the major 'suckup' attitude and maybe some kind of racial skill NOT found on rifts terra prime ...

oh well .. that life aint it?
Creator of the Chi grenade. Used in game by Kevarin [GM] and self as Mai - Civilian Martial artist that got amped via experiment. Ghost weapons and shirts rule.

Nano Missiles - used once and GM banned further use. They weren't THAT bad. and did stop a demon scout ship from returning with valuable info.

Ive been thinking...They will do what their human employer (master) needs so they will be more like vagabonds

they should get 6 occ related skills +3 at 2nd level +1 at fourth 8th and 12th
Secondary they should get 4 +4 at third + 2 at 7th

Do you have any suggestions to offer?

I was thinking somethng along these lines:

Speak: Trade 4 (+20%)
Literacy: Trade 4 (+20)
Housekeeping (+10%)
Anthropology (+20%, Human studies only)
Lore: Galactic (+10%, but only with relation to Human lore)
Lore: Religion (+10%, but only with relation to Human beliefs)
Law: CCW (+10%)
Pilot Hovercraft (+10%)
Detect Ambush (+10%)
Detect Concealment (+15%)
Optic Systems (+5%)
General Repair
Physical Labor
Forced March
3 WPs of choice (with an additional +1 to str)
*Hand-to-Hand: Expert

On a side note, I'm not even going to bother posting my ideas for the Pyashche (Bracewell Probe people). Let's just say that there will be some really alien aliens in this manuscript, not just aliens with forehead ridges.
