What is different in your games from the Phase world/3 Galaxies?
Well in my game the following things are different...
the CCW have a population of 5 trillion sentient beings in the 3G.
the demographics:20%Noro,16%Humans,14%Wulfen,12%Catyer,12%Seljuk and 26% Others,(over 100 races)
TGE have 4 trillion.
All Other Powers in the Halo are less then 2 trillion.
The Corkscrew galaxy 22% is controlled by the CCW,22% is TGE,5%FWC
51% is made up of independent and unexplored systems.

HOUSE RULES & CONVENTIONS (MOSTLY FOR PHASE WORLD)
(Subject heading repeated only, for brevity)
Oi-Vey!
Looks cool, and a number of points / conventions I also use.
ONE thing however; in my campiagn universe, Naruni is NOT the big cheese they cliam to be.
There are a myriad of other companies who do certain things much better and cheaper. ((sorry, but looking through all the materials printed thus far, Naruni stuff... kinda sucks rocks in comparrison to other Tri-Gal manufacturers))
I will concede that Naruni does make their equipment and vehicles "available" to more clients than anyone else. That's what happens when you don't care about ethics

Well in my 3Gs;
NE are the big cheese only because they have their hands in everything, CG-Drives, Antimatter, guns, armour, tanks, ships, computers, cars, ammo(not just plasma cartiges), media(books-TV-games-soft/hardware), planetary terraforming, mining equipment, even soft drinks and banks. When I say everything I mean practically everything.
NE can also shut off many of their big purchase items(and deadlier items basically tanks and up) by way of shutdown/selfdestruct code embedded into the programming of the items. Its easier on the Repobots to get their payment when the army that owes the money can't fight back, period.
Vibroknives and other equipment(like some gravity guns) run on a replaceable and recharge able battery(about the size of a lighter to a felttip marker depending on item)
You need a force field to be up for you to go FTL. Even 1MDC will do.
Almost anything in Rifts can be found in PW, probably won't find a Traix Devestator but there is something close to it on some planet.
There is cloning, highly expensive, semi-illegal(depending on system), clones have -1 to attributes(or at least IQ, ME, and MA) and are half the level of the original(or maybe back to first level),just to discourge PCs from always cloning. Oh and the penalties add up. A clone of a clone of clone of a clone isn't going to be as good as the real deal. And yes I realize this isn't really cloning but I want realistic technology and at the same time prevent the players/PCs from more or less cheating death and acting like they can pick up from before they died as if nothing happend.
Many of the bigger ships(Packmaster, Doombringer) have an AI, like in HALO, to help oversee some aspects of the ships and cut back on man power.
To take full advantage of some ships systems requires the PCs/NPCs to be jacked into via a headjack. Example why take an entire air traffic controll center with you into battle if you can just either A head jack the men in or B telepathicly link them all together. Time is of the esssence mustn't be unsure of anything.
Teleportation only by means of magic, the tech equivlent is portal/rift so its more one way unless the other side has a portal as well.
Ships, stations and what not have gravplating to provide gravity. Only affects the floor its built for. Fair cheap and inexpensive. Has been known to be used for toture. Make a room out of gravplating(floor, walls, ceiling) and then turn up the juice.
Many manufactures take base components(protons, electrons, neutrons) and add them together till they get the desired element.
The Silverhawks sheild penetrator works by tricking the ships sheilds into thinking the Silverhawk is part of its own sheild network(by way of letting the ship use the PA's own FF emmiters up and match up with that of the ships plus some handwavium) and pulls it inside the sheild layer
When in FTL ships get info on the surroundings relayed to them by satellites, stations, other ships. If the station is if pointing the signal down a known space lane, with a wide spread, every ship that picks it up should have a good idea whats going on(traffic jam two light years ahead, Planet A is on the far side and a 90% chance of metor showers). That way people have a reason to travel the space lanes instead of just going whereever they please, oblivious to the movment of the cosmos and other less cosmic things.
No FTL boarding, don't want PC to go "Well screw it they're gonna kill us anyways, Hard to Port Mister Moe!" and smash his ship into the other one creating an explosion that rips a hole in the spacetime continum, so to speak.
Listed Mach speeds of ships is its acceleration inspace, double for many of the fighters. Havn't figured out what topspeed would be, but fighters would have slowest topspeed, while light cruisers would have the fastest. Think throwing a pebble, versus throwing a good palm sized rock
and Number 1 rule is
What I say goes, if you don't want to be beaten up by 15 year kids with metal rods I can make them 6 years with sticks and stones. If my group is smarter then me, then I'll cheat. And when in doubt sacrifice realism and game rules for storytelling.

I don't, many of ours are made up on the spot(and quickly forgotten) or we have them memorized

IT's a lot more fun to watch in person. I try to do all sort of voices when I'm running the game for my friends. And I've got a few characters I use in Phase World.

I imitate Mrs Ratbag from MP. I imitate Edmund Blackadder. WC Fieldd, Marvin the Martian (for comedic moments) are some of them I usein the game.

LOL I guess we are actually on topic still. We are talking about our variations to the standard game.
