Cancelling magic/psi/tats/etc...

it NEVER takes an action to cancel a spell or psionic. it ALWAYS takes an action to cast one or use one.

Carpet of Adhesion does only take one action, so yes, there's no time to cancel it. by the time you'd think to cancel it, it's already taken effect. but you can drop it instantly without needing an action.

I agree 100% with Nekira Sudacne. No time(In-Game) is wasted to cancel a Spell or Power, or a Cyber/Bionic Item(Like shutting down the Radar).

So, yes, walross1978, you can cancel a Spell, Power or Cyber/Bionic effect and turn on/use/cast another one right away(assuming you have even one Action/Attack left that Melee).

Unless the mage has the sorsserus deficencyl of 'unstopable spells' or the spell discription says that the spell can not be cancled, the mage who cast the spell can cancle the spell at any time.
