new spel is working on.....ideas...

I'm working on a new spell but needs some input. Here is what I have so far.
11) Meta: Cetacean-- self or other by touch (120/240/500) 24 hours per level, standard if resisted,
120 PPE for Dolphins/porpuses and other human scale
240 PPE for small whales up to a small orca
500 PPE for large whales from large orca to blue whale size.

Metamorphosis: Cetacean
turn the caster or other by touch into a <dolphin>/Small whale/large whale>.

Yes. Meta sup would cover it. But if you are visitying a water world....do you want just 20 min/L for the metamorphisis? You do have Through the Glass Darkly with its spell creation/Modification rules don't you?
As for Meta: animal....most cetacean count as race/people by PB stadards so it won't cut it. You do have Rifts:Underseas don't you?
So what sujestion about what to put into the spell, do you have?

in that case it makes much more sense
and looks good to boot
I just didn't understand what Meta ment by itself.

Would the caster get the appropriate abilities of a cetacean as per Underseas? I doubt it, but it would be Kewl!

Was thinking that the caster would be able to get/use whale singer magic while trasformed. It would have to be ether a special char or a char who changed class, or something....for that to happen. *shrugs*

Grrlfrnd-
Have you heard of Totem Gift/Totem spells for Native Americans? I'm
not sure as to the duration, but I'm sure that you'd get the same with that
if you had one of these as a totem. Now a Totem Warrior-Different story!
