Rifter and Robotech

Unread post by MikeM »

I'm not sure if this has been asked yet or answered yet, but is Palladium planning on printing Robotech articles in the Rifter as well?

I would love to see some adventures printed in there. Not more mecha stats, as I'm sure there will be plenty of that in the main rule book (let's hope so anyway)

If I remember correctly the only Robotech articles were in Rifter #5.

Seems a bit of a gray area.. it's a lisenced product, so it seems that it might be a bit of a hassel.... and thusly not as likely. Everyone seems to say "Yeah that'd be cool" but "We'll look into it" more than any solid "yes" answers.

Actually, this question was asked and answered about half a month ago now, but it wasn't exactly "high visibility."

From the thread here, Alex's official answer here:
Kevin says we will not be accepting Robotech submissions for The Rifter.
"Things aren't what they used to be" is the rallying cry of small minds. When men say things used to be better, they invariably mean they were better for them, because they were young, and had all their hopes intact. The world is bound to look a darker place as you slide into the grave.

That's a shame, I rather liked the ABP-Z4 and the Mecha Test Pilot from Rifter #5, but then again they need to save up material to use in the books right now.

Edit: Then again, realizing he says 'submissions', so perhaps there is still a chance for 'official' material to find its way in, but again, probably need it for the books first.
