Tell as much or as little about your BtS character(s)...

Nancy: 2nd level nega-psychic. Foreign exchange student in Helsinki, Finland; born in Flagstaff, Arizona. Boyfriend (Jirki Hikipää) a (para)psychologist and paranormal investigator. She joined their adventures and never got convinced, although she did get dead. :-(

Margo Léglise: 4th level human calculator. Operated her own Certified Public Accounting company, which offered other services. Big score: government contract.

Natasha Krilova: 4th level human diabolist. We choose OCCs from any game. Tortured past, bright future.

Mila Saltukova: 1st level parapsychologist. Character created but never participated in a game.

Alina Chernikova: 1st level psimechanic, second edition. Participates in CaptRory's weekly BtS-2 game.

  1. Jorma: 4th level natural. Student at university. Paranormal investigator.
  2. Benjamin Farber: 6th level arcanist. Became obsessed with time and dimensional travel. Operated a number of Dairy Queen franchises; very wealthy and plenty of free time.
  3. Venkat Yarlagadda: 3rd level computer genius. Compiled databases of information, operated a couple BBSs and other online resources, and went into hiding after cracking some US government computers.
  4. Sergei Limonov: 1st level psi-sensitive. Never played.
  5. Frank Brimstone: 1st level demon hunter, second edition. Insane Bible-thumping hunter. Participates in CaptRory's weekly BtS-2 game online.
  6. Craig Willmore: 3rd level arcanist. Wanted a cult to call his own. Did not make it. Died in a police shootout.
  7. Jesús López: 4th level psi-sensitive. Police officer turned private investigator after forced retirement. He limped but could still handle fieldwork.
  8. Rube Sinclair: 3rd level weapons expert. Gunsmith shop with a shooting range (indoor and outdoor), rentals, and sales; specialised in hi-cap magazines for assault rifles (LE and military contracts only). Lived and worked in Cuba, MO. Sold just about anything that shoots, from paintball guns to fully automatic MP5s.
  9. Sasha Duhov: 6th level ecto-hunter (from Rifts Russia). Hoarded flashlights, phobia of Outer Space; overcame a phobia of reptiles; will not wear blue coloured clothes; avoids mirrors as his enemies (or anyone thinking about him for that matter) will be able to see what he is doing. Memory wiped from age 15 and earlier; has absolutely no idea why he was trained in Ninjitsu, by who, or even where.

How did you set up her skills to be a CPA/accountant?

I'll go ahead and field this one for her.

We just created a generic Accountancy skill that means the character is Certified Public Accountant and competent enough to perform most accountancy roles such as managerial and financial accounting. Requirement is Math: Basic. Human calculators are +10% to base success ratio. University graduates are +25%. Bonuses stack if you happen to be both. Base success ratio: 50% +5% per level of experience. A failed roll means the numbers just don't add up. Redo the effort but with a +5% bonus per effort; eventually you're going to get it correct. Also, the amount of time required to complete the task is reduced by 10% per effort. These bonuses reflect that not all of the effort was wrong.
