In the D&D realms they are heard of quite offten....for a magic ring. But in PB, there is no mention of them in cannon. However,....

I have a ring made up in the style of custum class I made up, but it fits the bill.

spell ring--light healing-(gold ring with topaz stones)-takes ppe from the wearer and uses it to cast it on the wearer till the wearer is out of PPE(takes 6 per casting), the ring has three casting actions per 15 sec.

While it is an ok ring for a non-mage to wear all the time, it will suck a mage dry of his PPE, cripling his spell casting abilies.
May you be blessed with the ability to change course when you are off the mark.
Each question should be give the canon answer 1st, then you can proclaim your house rules.

D&D 2nd edition it is 1 point every 10 rounds. Or rapid reg rings are 1 every round.
D&D 3nd it is one a hour.

Personally the like 4 gaming D&D groups I have been in also played rings of reg has rapid reg rings.

There was also the Ring of Vampiric Regeneration, where you healed a portion of the damage you dealt. My personal favorite.

Mine too, the good old days when I rolled a ring of vampiric Regeneration at level 1. it is 1/2 the damage and it not in 3.0 or 3.5.

One GM was from a D&D background, so if it came from him that was no doubt the influence.

Last night I was looking through books and I found in Nightspawn (I really don't care what they call it now, it's Nightspawn lol) Nightlands sourcebook, Artifacts of Power. Lesser artifacts are often a ring, and one of the powers/properties it can have is healing.

And the other main GM in question who could have given it, was big into Nightspawn, so it could well be that too. Probably what I'll go with since it's canon.

:)

I think there is also a ring in the PFRPG Land of the Damned II that allows healing (healing one might be in Northern Hinterlands instead), and another that will bring you back to life x-amount of times. It would be easy to stat out such a ring, just use the Bio-Reg. psionic power (the minor), and say it can be used three times per day.

Which one is Northern Hinterlands? Do you have a page number by chance?

I'm not sure. I post at work, so don't have access to my books and have to go off of pure memory. I getting old (turned 30 this year), so that is not what it use to be, which means it might not be in either of those books even though I swear there was something similar in one of them.
I do know one thing for sure, and that is I have seen a ring with regenerating powers in a PFRPG. It was based off of the minor psionic power of Bio-Regeneration, which is why I suggested using it as a template.

I would check out the Nightbane book: Nightlands. The section on creating magical artifacts might help you create a "ring of regeneration" type item.

I'm very lazy right now, but I would suggest checking out Western Empire.

Alright, found it. Page 176 in land of the damned two. In the section on the cities of bone, the Sylvan (sp?; the monster that has 1/2 their face looking normal and the other 1/2 looking like a corpse). He owns a ring of Bio-Regeneration. Its rather powerful, and automatically heals 2d6 hp/S.D.C. per melee.

There is also one in the Eastern Territories books, in the equipment description of the General incharge of Southwatch. Only it heals 6d6 hp/S.D.C. an X amount of times per 24-hours.
