As soon as the Player states "I activate my tattoo." It's activated that action. Like for example touching aquired it to activate, it is still activated as soon as it is touched. Unless the particular tattoo has more or another activation cost.
Guys please correct if I am wrong about this.
Tat Activation

Unless the tat user has An Yin K.F., a Tao Shih 8th, &/or is a Nei Chia Wu Shih, & has Mudra for the Evocation of Power. either 6 tats are Randomly activated, or the player picks them. Of course this is a House rule, but it makes sense. The same goes for TW Implants. Another thing is the more than 6 tats rule: Supernatural creatures, Not Canon, but hinted in the Chaing-Ku descriptor, & here on the forums.... of course I will either get flamed for this, or just plain ignored-such is the life of a TRUE Game Mechanic/powergamer/munchkin

The Mudra for the Evocation of Power is possibly the most Munchie of all Mudras. According to my signed Rifter #3, you can randomly power up anything say on a Robot/Power Armor's finger to the Self-Destruct button.
Tats are Magical. The reason I have the house rule is because this particular Mudra powers up talismans, & Vajras. I realize it is for some, a
leap of faith to think this. I think that tats, stones, Native American Masks,
TW Implants, ect., are extentions of the same thing-they need P.P.E....
so sorry, Misfit, I tend to run sentences/paragraphs together. I'm glad YOU asked! You do know where Mudra come from, right?

it is how I write, sorta, but when your POS Comp is about to give up. I realize I have to think before I write, I tend to mix metaphors, & stuff. I know it is painful to read. Not enough sleep. too much coffee. & I end in dangling participles. sorry

Using a multiple activations is capable with the Mudra for the Evocation of Power-all 6 at 1 time-Does that make more sense? I really appreciate your being patient w/me Misfit. TY

Unfortunately, Misfit, they only allow 6 tats total for non-Supernatural Tattoo-men. Talk amongst yourselves about tat activation with a Chiang-Ku or a True Atlantean Godling- I amend that with alll tats-again provided they have enough P.P.E.
EDIT_I Consider the Demi-God & Godling to be more O.C.C. than R.C.C.
because this game is Humano-centric. I.E., You can pick a Race with a Godling
Tatoo limitations

I Thought, & usually this is how I play, 6 tattoos max for most activations.
Please show me where Godlings, & Demi-Gods can't use Tattoos-not 1
descriptor in Pantheons-they can pick 2 Magic classes, & burster. Given
the early nature of the work (Pantheons) it does give Alot of lee-way....
I just rolled up a useless True Atlantean Godling/Undead Slayer/LL
Walker/Psi-Slinger for a friend of mine, & he (obviously) refused to play
it. Does it say in Powers unlimited 2 that you can't have Tattoos on Demi-
Gawds/Lings? or do you have (Curse the word) Apocryphal witings?
Sometimes I get too deep for myself.......Show me Canon, please. The
reason that you can only activate 6 Tattoos is because of
balance. I jest...... I tend to use balance only when the player asks for it.
Are you saying that anyone with more than 6 Tats can use
All of
them? also given the time amounts for most tats-2 melees/lvl-30
Minutes/lvl you could conceivably run almost all day if you were high
enough level; that is one of the reasons for the 6 (maybe 7) Tattoo limit
for mortals. The other is that more than 6 tats activated makes the Tank a
Battleship....
Finally am I more coherent? Sleep for a day, & I'm fine.....
ps-I hope we can continue this dialog.

It's explit right in Atlantis on page 85. a nice bolded section listed "Racial Restrictions". Humans, Orges, Elves, True Atlantians and Chiang-Ku. You may personally think Godligns are humans, but a closer look about devine breeding shows that godlings can be with any race. Furthermore, a half man half god isn't fully human or god. So they're out.
You may WANT them to, but cannon is unquestionably clear.
And it says clearly, also, a T man can use however many he wants so long as he has PPE to activate them. and they can easially get up to 2 dozen and more at higher levels.
Remember, T-men are
supposedto be tanks. they're
supposedto be awsome warriors of destruction. Ever wonder why they cost
more than a glitter boy at high levels? it's because they have a good chance of beating one...or two.

then explain 2 Races that are Godlings-Cyclops, &
Hecatonchiere, of Hundred-Handed. But that's my other thread... It's Not
a matter of Breeding, or half-this or half that, Nekira, but a matter of who
you-True Atlanteans, Ogres, Elves, & Humans-Worship. or are you a
Monothiest? The reason I don't include Dragons is because of their
solitary, Fratricidal, Materricidal, Philocidal (brother vs. brother), &
extremely territorialistic Tendencies.
Also, there are several other races-Old dragons, certain Japanese dragons, & maybe even the Staphrya. If you want canon-heck the game develops, & we see new races every day. If I really wanted to I could make a Jeridu take Tats-They Are older than elves, & some think they are the Elves predessesors. I guess I was wrong about the 6 tat. Please, before you quote canon, remember-it's your Imagination.
Cannon the canon, anyone?

I...did quote cannon.
Not sure what all your point of dragons was about.

Nekira-do you know the differnce between Canon, & Cannon? Canon is
a synonym for doctrine. Cannon is a noun-a big piece of Artillery........
Thats what it means when I, & others say "Cannon the Canon!" Get it?
I hope I was gentle........ Dragon tend to be killers of their own, & lonely
beasts. Maybe if used reglar english intead of those fancy words. I tend to write/think out loud.

Misfit KotLD wrote:Your point about dragons has nothing to do with Demi-Gods and Godlings being supernatural creatures and NOT among those capable of receiving and using the magic tattoos.
And she knows what canon is better than damn near anyone, even if she can't spell it.
Misfit have you ever heard the expression "My Karma just ran over your Dogma"? Nothing in the books is written in stone. Unlike the 10 commandments I don't take the game that seriously. Like all things it evolves over time.
I wasn't clear on what I meant with dragons-they are not capable of being
Demi-gods, or Godlings. & where in "canon" does it say that you can't be a Godling/Demi-God & a race at the same time? This is what I mean by Humano-centric. I like humans, but to get the best advantage why not
take a race, & BTW, precedence has been broken, like the True Atlanteans
& Make the Demi-Gods/Godlings.
Precedence being 1. The Hecatonchiere, or Hundred Handed, &or 2.
Greater Cyclops (Godling).
