I would pay the $20 for this book. hell the last few RPGs I bought were over $40. So yea just give the 300+ pages and call it good.

Then again, if something does get cut, that's that much more extra the 'deluxe' 8x11 will have.
If it's important material I certainly say don't cut it.
If it's not.. well, wait. I was about to suggest making it $4 more than a regular 300+ manga might hurt it, but on the other hand, we don't want to appear too cheap. People might make the wrong assumptions about quality and price. Then again, a $15 'cheap' one could get people interested, kind of a 'fast-play version', with a nice $20-$24 softcover Deluxe 'full-version' could pan out well.. though we'd want to avoid appearing like we're simply baiting people with the cheap one first though.
Hrmph. I'm drawn. I personally want all the pages and info I can get, and $20 is certainly not too much, but if we're trying to snag the manga-crowd and other new players, I'm not positive what is best. Not knowing what might get cut, I'm not sure.. Wait, what am I worried about, it is only four dollars more than a regular manga of the size, and if the production quality is obviously high, then it should work out well.

I'm leaving the above rambling conflicted thought process intact for the reference of others.
End result: Pro 300+ pages.

My only suggestion for the 300+ page version is marking the edges of the pages such that someone looking at the closed book can tell where sections begin and end so that you don't overwhelm someone trying to look something up quickly. Newbies aren't as adept at thumbing through 300 pages of info looking for one section, and it adds an extra organized feel to it.

And for crying out loud, don't use the same cheap laminating process that has the cover plastic pulling away from the paper like what ruined my previous books!

I would most deffiantely pay another $2 for a book that size. Bring It On!

What AK said..don;t cut the fat..leave it nice & juicy and we'll payout the extra green (or in my case; rainbow paper).

You guys may want to start a thread on the "All Things Palladium Books" forum. Thus, it will be more likely that your opinions on this matter will be heard.

Sounds like Kev might have to publish a follow up book pretty quickly and have the full material in the special standard sized edition.

More then likely, the first print run of the book will be at the already listed pre-order price. Then the 2nd print run will see the price increase. I could be wrong on this. This is just a guess.

I don't care how much it'll cost... I'm getting it. I just need to know how Palladium may want to get the difference in cost, since I pre-ordered my copy a few days ago.

that reminds me I need to update my order, my card expired in the mean time and was reissued
or do I ? some things ignored the reissue and others did not (same number, I think its the CVN thats caused the problem)

I'll keep an eye out for it at ICON 27.

I'll buy it when it comes out! Sounds great with all of the extra pages! And when the standard size edtion comes out I'll pick it up too!

Im holding out for delux. that way I get a normal sized book, all the info, and all the corrections

I'll pick that one up when it comes out too. But I want the new one ASAP! Hopefully there won't be many istakes with both compaies working together!

Well at least it is at the printer now! I would say a week or two at most now!

I Can't wait to see how they did this version of RT as it was my first game aside from D&D and AD&D.
And it crosses over nicely into Rifts. it is always nice to make someone think they are just dealing with a Joe Shmoe on a military inspred speed bike, and then smoke him when he can't hit your but, or teach him that in RT things have a really nice MD on full auto (EP-37 and 40).

I'm really looking forward to seeing what it looks like too! It's very exciting to see how it'll fit in with everything. And there are no previews of the material. They are really keeping their work secret! Make the anticipation that much more intense!
