I post plenty of oddball articles myself, and soem fo them take off into adventures (the Severed feet one I started posting that months before Dr. Boggs ran with it).

I view LS.org primarily as a collection of adventures prompts and ideas for people's BtS games. It's a storytelling site second.
What I prefer to do is mix them: present the adventure prompt in story form. For example, the White Kentucky Vampire or whatever the hell it is. I'd like to work this into a story about an encounter that was investigated by a Society member or perhaps a War Story about a member's actual encounter with the creature.
