Re: Swords
Lots of interesting swords in the Mystic China book. Still, one that I think Palladium has overlooked entirely, but that really exists, is called a Zweihander. A Two handed sword with a blade length of about 7 feet.

Well, I know of a knife used in Australia by these crocadile aliens that probably counts as a short sword for humans. Then we have Steeltree Forged weapons from the Dinosaur Swamp. The weapons created by the Mystic smiths (I forget how the class name is spelled) in Russia, the weapons created by the Blade Mage class from the Rifter. Demon Bone Weapons from the Hades book. Mutant bone weapons from Madhaven.

The books, or the weapons?
BTW, check out Rifts South America 2 and Rifts China 2, I think each one has some swords you might be interested in. Notable the Deamon Queller swords in China ans the Psychic Duelist weapons of South America. Also, did you note the Psychic crystal items from PF's Island at the edge of the World?

the dragon and Gods Swords of Legend
I remember days like this when my father took me to the forest and we ate wild blueberries. More than 20 years ago. I was just a boy of four or five. The leaves were so dark and green then. The grass smelled sweet with the spring wind...For us, there is no spring. Just the wind that smells fresh before the storm.
Re: Swords
The Battle Fury Blade and Deathbringer Sword, as long as we're on the subject.
Really, there is no substitute for a Battle Fury Blade. These things rip people to shreds. And on a character with a lot of attacks, the misery is compounded. I actually like the Deathbringer a little better because of the other things it can do, but for raw melee whupa**, nothing beats the Battlefury Blade.

Palladium didn't overlook it. It is in their Weapons series. Those books have tons swords if you are interested. I have the bigger "Compendium of weapons, armour, and castles" but they have the smaller booklets now.

Oh, and Molecular Blades from Thundercloud Galaxy.
Also If collecting swords have you given any thought to scabbards/sheaths?
Rifter 2 has a TW Sheath, and Rifter.... 28 or 29 I think.... has War Magic which can permanently enchant a scabbard to contain multiple swords simultaneously.

I don't care about canon answers. I'm interested in good, well-reasoned answers and, perhaps, a short discussion of how that answer is supported or contradicted by canon.
If I don't provide a book and page number, then don't assume that I'm describing canon. I'll tell you if I'm describing canon.

I do not see the TW fire sword, or ice sword on the list.
Also the swords from aliens ulimted,
Energy swords and what ever that mettle is starts with a K (but in rifts some reason it got hit by if it is not pure tech then it is tw hammer in CS navy.)
Also the rifts merc source book the Nurni PA had a sword.

The Clones are coming you shall all be replaced, but who is to say you have not been replaced already.

Soon my army oc clones and winged-monkies will rule the world but first, must .......
I may debate canon and RAW, but the games I run are highly house ruled. So I am not debating for how I play but about how the system works as written.

Re: Swords
I like the TW Lightblade, simply because you can customise it to look like a lightsabre.
Combine that with super-tk, Tk-leap, Tk-push, summon inner strength, and various psi-senses such as clairvoyance and sixth sense, and you're halfway to a Jedi.

I'd get up in the morning and watch the sun rise over the yardarm of my sky-ship as the sails billowed in the breeze and the land slid by 300-odd metres below. I'd grasp the mahogany ship's wheel, turn her nose a few points back onto the line, and feel pity for all those poor bastards below who have to work for a living. - My idea of the good life in Rifts.

ive been searching.. for a weapon
that well be fitted to my characters..
ahm do you have a bow.. weapons???
thanks.. ^_^
Bows are nornaly just listed as bows I can not think of any special bows how ever arrows are another matter all together. There are in the SoT books goblin grenades/arrows with spells up to level 4 most common are ones like carpet of adheasion, magic net, Globe of Day light, blinding flash, then you add in tech arrows such as exploding arrows, gas arrows, tracker arrows and your bow totaly rocks.

AlexanderD wrote:dont forget some custom tw weapons that emulate the cool sword spells in rifts, like the ghost blade spell that goes through armor, or the starsword spell, that i believe does nasty damage to vampires I remember a shadowsword spell of some sort too that was nice.
Where can I find the ghost blade spell that sounds cool and I would like to use it in my game please and thank you

Re: Swords
I think I recall some spells for either a shadow sword or a spirit sword in PF's Library of Bletherad.
As for Starsword... that almost sounds like something from one of the Rifters that had Space Magic OCCs and Space Rune weapons.
