The Shifter can summon angels and choose to link to the gods of light in Rifts Ultimate edition, the class was updated with more choices to the direction a shifter can take. It also gives the general rules for having supernatural minion servants. The only real drawback was the P.P.E. per level has been cut back a bit and the save vs horror factor has been reduced.

Yes a shifter I've played is linked to Odin and can summon Valkyries

I'd definately see them as being able to contact those powers. I haven't had any shifters in my game at present. I would definately encourage it from my players.

What is there is up too each and every GM. So whatever you want can be there for your players!

Which one the old one or the new revised version?

Only in the old book, they did not get reprinted because Rift Gods & Dragons got canceled or postponed which is annoying because I gave my fist copy of conversion book one away after I got the new one with no dragons or angels in it.
