Please post your thoughts on ways to remove the Obsidian Spell Thief's curse.
Please, the fact that this would make the spell thief powerful or that you don't think it can or should be removed is not what I'm asking for here, so please post that somewhere else.
My first Obsidian Spell Thief had his curse removed by Odin. He traded some magical knowledge that Odin didn't have and found his long lost son (a godling) as payment.

If I remember the Obsidian Spell Thief's curse right (sorry, too lazy to get the book) its a part of their training. So I would think a highly skilled psychic with mind wipe and a detailed understanding of the training process could actually delete small fragments here and there, effectivally removing the mental barriers that the spell theif has built within his\her own mind.
Of course thats not to say that this method is actually safe as some of the training may be so tightly interwoven that the character may be forced to lose more then just the curse.

I'm thinking of going with Mental Block Removal (mind bleeder power) as the best and most legal way to remove the curse.

This why I think the mind Bleeder power would work
Mental Block Removal
"....The Brain Scan will locate and identify all the Mental Blocks and traumas. The Mind Bleeder can then remove them one by one.....
I.S.P. Cost: .... 80 I.S.P. to remove magic insanities and curses...... Only mental traumas, disorders, phobias, multiple personalities, etc., induced by
M.O.M. conversion can NOT be eliminated.
Tell me why this power wouldn't work.
