Well Old Kingdom Lowlands seems to have an ISBN, too.

I wonder what those online merchants are actually selling....

Sadly, no. Although, it would be easier to write now after several years of lazlosociety.com.

One of a number of projects initiated int he late 80's/early 90's that never came to light.

But seeing as Rift's is the one that did see daylight from that time I'd say the company wasn't to badly hurt by it.

I just found this book on Ebay. No picture. What is up with this, does anybody know? I bought it for a few bucks, a few minutes ago, and don't know when or if I'll receive it. I'm guessing it is a fake, or I just gave someone $ for nothing. Either way I'd like to know what it is. If I find out first, I guess I'll let yall know. Has anyone else actually purchased a copy of it?

"The Lazlo Agency" book, , "Nostrodom" (detailed in "The Collected MOP's" book on pg. 76) and "Worlds within Worlds" (Lazlo's book) were all on the same project table at the time. None of them have seen the light of day.

So why was I able to purchase it on Ebay?

Cause it was an incorrect listing. :)

Think of it as your very own special grab bag. Let us know what you get.

That is the plan.

I got a letter saying...
Dear Customer,

I apologize for not notifying you sooner in reference to your order. I went to look for your book and I could not find it on the shelf where it should be. I found that to be odd so I did some checking. The above mentioned book sold a several days ago. It is all very odd, but the worse part is now I do not have another copy of this book to send to you.

I truly apologize and I have canceled your order. You will receive an email from Half confirming this shortly. I hope my quick email will allow you ample time to order from another seller.

Again, please accept my sincere apology and if you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.

Sincerely,

Ross

J, that story is hilarious! I love how the seller is still unwilling to admit that he never had the book in the first place.

Then again, it would have been really creepy if he did ship you a book which never existed. That would be a great line in a hook, line, & sinker scenario.

I don't think it is probable, but it is possible that someone could cheaply produce some manuscript and sell it illegally. One could always hope to actually have something in hand. I have heard one person on these forums tell of buying a copy of a Palladium book that was not printed by Palladium or in Michigan. I think it may have been from Minnesota, and they said the binding fell apart, even though it was supposedly a new book. I think it may have been Shadows of Light, but I am not sure. I never saw it, so it is all hearsay. Also, when I initially saw the book on Ebay, I didn't know that it shouldn't exist.
