Depends on starships.

Craft without transatmospheric capability can be constructed with low "contra-G" limits,
like -2 to +5 G, especially commercial vessels.

Transatmospheric and military vessels, or the ones with "auxiliary boosters" (like the Scorpion,
ie. with additional, CG "afterburners") must be designed with much higher G tolerance.

Also, artifical gravity and CG drive system might be the same starship system.

Maybe this will help with the negative Gs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G-force

Formula One racing car driver David Purley survived an estimated 179.8 g in 1977 when he decelerated from 173 km/h (108 mph) to rest over a distance of 66 cm (26 inches) after his throttle got stuck wide open and he hit a wall.[2]

Indy Car driver Kenny Bräck crashed on lap 188 of the 2003 race at Texas Motor Speedway. Bräck and Tomas Scheckter touched wheels, sending Bräck into the air at 200+ mph, hitting a steel support beam for the catch fencing. According to Bräck's site his car recorded 214 g.[

Cool! And those numbers are scary too! Although aren't those positive Gs.

Positive G's pull the blood from the brain to the feet, and the body naturally expects this.
Negatvie G's pull the blood from the feet to the brain, and this the body doesn't like as much.
Transverse G's pull the blood from side (like the front) to side (like the back). These are the G's you feel in accelleration and decelleration. The body can withstand more Transverse G's than it can Positive or Negative.

Also, onboard artifical gravity, aside from acting as "inertia dampening"
might also double as a "structural integrity field". This said, and taking
into account the speed and acceleration of ships in the 3Gs, with a little
tampering in the onboard gravity, one can smear the bridge crew on the
ceiling, floor or the walls.
However, most shipbuilders are aware of this, so this kind of tampering
might require the breaking of serious security devices, which can fry
any Machine People's brain and even only possible from certain - well
guarded - locations of the ship, since such malicious activation also
requires vast amont of energy.

In smaller combat (or exploration/mining) ships however, these fields
might be concentrated along a few vital systems (like the cockpit),
while the rest of the vessel is held together by the MDC materials
it is made of.

Much less. At 3G most humans will not be able to stand, and even fighter pilots
can pass out as sudden and/or prolonged acceleration of 5 Gs.

I think that sounds pretty reasonable Gadrin. You're players should be able to live with it.

That requires serious hacking and starship mechanic rolls, but otherwise yes.

Ah. But if one was an operator he could do it.

Most probably have a chance.

Mind you, in the 3Galaxies, where Machine People and various RCC's and OCC's with
telemechannics are rather abundant, there are nasty security measures are used,
see Machine People RCC in DMB2.

That said - yes, it is possible.

I think I remember that being mentioned. I'd just have to reread it. Thank you for the reminder KLM!

Sounds like a great adventure. I may use it in a future adventure for my group. It is a very cool idea.
