I'm not too big a fan of the Coalition, and god knows the source material is spread out from here to Texas, so I was hoping somebody could give me a few specifics and a few page numbers/book citations to peruse.

Thanks in advance!

funny you should mention Texas...

Iron Heart has the City of Iron (old Sudbury), which was home to a place called Science North. This was a reason why Chi-Town enlisted them as a member state. Basically it was one of the largest pre-rifts science and mining museums.

Chi-Town itself has research facility's on level's 1-3, and a university on level 40.

And as mentioned the Lone Star Complex.

???

Was that a response to a deleted post or something?

Damian-

Yeah, I thought of Lone Star. Never really been wild about that whole environment, though. There have got to be others, right?

Ok, the whole idea was this was a joke.

basically it was funny to me to call anyone who posted anything that questioned the CS's production capabilities Lenwen. Because of the recurring posts he's been making.

Now .. THAT .. is halarious .

My apologies for not being able to "suspend disbelievability" as well as you good sir . Dident know asking questions was wrong . Nor asking for answers as per canon write ups haha . Guess were not allowed to do that as there are just too many things that paint a validity question of the CS .

Again .. my bad rat , but that was halarious .

for the original post:

Germany has the science background you would need, Lazlo has the academic background and Northern gun certainly wants that kind of tech and would pay people to research it.

I'm away from my books but there is a race of D-Bee in DBoNa that is a humanoid spider (in the a's, not the spinne) that can be any kind of psychic and gets a free science skill that you can spend on archeology.

EDIT: Wow did I misread that!

CS rnd mostly occurs in Lonestar where their best factories are located. Rifter 37 is the best resource I have ever read on the subject.

CS does R&D a lot of different places. A lot takes place at Lone Star, but I see the mechanical R&D happening a lot in Iron Heart (where Iron Heart armaments used to be, and I've always seen as being pretty industrial). Chi-town, of course, has its own R&D facilities, which I see as being less specialized than Iron Heart or Lone Star.

Remember, most of the CS states were once independent nations and, in my view of the CS, you have independent corporations that have their own R&D departments.

You could use Missouri that where the covert expeditionary force is based out of. The would be the ones that bring back the most savaged tec to be examined. They are bound to have a research team there for the preliminary examination.
