Re: Supernatural P.S. vs. Regular P.S. in melee combat
As always, when there is not a specific ironclad rule for a situation it is a matter for GM interpretation. I see this as an opportunity rather than a roadblock. One note to start off with. The N’mbyr is NOT a supernatural creature. It has Augmented strength that become EQUIVILENT to supernatural st...

Re: Firing Prone In Combat
I can't find an answer in the rules as written, so here is my interpretation. And it is just MY interpretation. If a target (player or npc) goes prone, a ranged shot should come at a penalty to strike. It should only be treated as cover if they are in defilade, that is having gone prone behind cover...

Re: CCW Power Armor
Ahh. I see where the confusion was, my bad. In that case Eliakon, I agree with you completely. As a digression, if anyone has any interest in sizing or fitting power armor in fiction here are a few useful resources. Robert Heinlein’s Starship Troopers (the book, not that pos movie series) and John R...

Re: Silverhawk Power Armor
That said, as long as you kept it attached to the armor.... *picturing a strong humanoid tying a silverhawk PA (with pilot still inside) to his back and wielding the rifle as the Silverhawk desperate applies pathetic low-MD kicks to the back of the shooter. Now I'm picturing a Royal Kreeghor doing ...

Re: CCW Power Armor
First a disclaimer, as with many things, the rules are not explicit on this point and anything we say here is a matter of interpretation and should be viewed as such. None of this is a claim against canon or how you should play your game. Since Eliakon mentioned basketball players, I have to point y...

Re: Cyberknight O.C.C. bonuses too much?
Cyber-Knights are supposed to be a potent hybrid class, and the training described in the CK sourcebook and RUE seems to justify significant bonuses. Exactly. Any time I need to evaluate a new OCC/RCC/PCC/?CC I follow the same procedure. I arbitrarily maximize all stats without exploding dice (ie 1...

Re: A question about Harmony Gold
Just to clarify, SolarFlare Games is not producing an RPG. They are making a 2 player tactical card game, a 2 player tactical game (not clear if its a card game or not), and a cooperative card game. You can find reviews of the first game, Robotech: Force of Arms, online. The artwork looks nice, and ...

Re: A question about Harmony Gold
What has happened is that Harmony Gold has decided not to renew the license they issued to Palladium. basically all that means that palladium cannot make or sell robotech products anymore. for HG it means that they now have the option to pick a different RPG company to make a robotech game, if any ...

Re: HIT 'IM WITH YOUR HEAD GUNS, KID!!
the LT inexplicably one-shot-killing both bogies with chest shots (through armor and gargoyle!). Gurgoyles generally pilot those things. TX-41 burst can do 60 MD, even doubled to 120MD on a natural 20 that's still less than half the 250MDC the G-10 Power Armor has, or the minimum 100 MDC a Gurgoyle...

Re: Boom Gun in Space
Can you imagine if Rifts followed real world physics? I can see the newsflash now. Headline Laika Station. Station officials announced the loss of 243 workers today when habitation section 4 was destroyed by railgun fire. Given the time of impact and the trajectory, investigators have determined the...

Re: Robotech Miniatures?
I definitely want to show my support. I think there are enough people like me who are already putting out money for fan projects to justify an official product. I have a number of the Battletech "Unseen" and have been collecting them since I started playing in '87. I have bought at least o...
