I Need Your Dimension Insight

**Well, this will be a shorter post then the first time I tried. I almost had it finished when the Power went out!! Nuff Said**

Ok, I'm still working on my little dimension book submission project. I would like to get your honest and frank thoughts about what I have so far. Now, if anything sounds familiar or too close to something you've read (or worked on) please let me know. I want this to be a unique and exotic location in the Megaverse. Now, I have left out names (still refine selections...I'm picky) and specific informations (refining things).

Simply Clip Note History:

*All-Mother creates the Dimension/World to hide from her enemies.
*Opens multiple portal to allow normal and exotic animal life in then seals all the portal.
*Places Great Restrictions inside her realm.
*All-Mother creates Eyeless Rock Giant Race (Powerful MDC Race)
*All-Mother gifts her race with Glyphic Carving Magic
*Bored All-Mother gives "birth" to A Daughter and a Son to rule with her.
*All-Mother allows each to create a new race.
*Daughter creates a Insectiod Race (Moderate MDC Race) and gifts her race with Swarm Horde Magic.
*The Son travels the world first then assisted a blue mammal race evolve into a hairless blue (thin) elven like race with Pink to purple spots on their bodies (basic SDC Race). Then the Son taught his adopted children (he doesn't see them as followers) the Art of Grub Juice Alchemy.
*Time Passed and the All-mother became bored. She gave birth again this time to 3 Sisters making the 1st Daughter/Elder Sister anger.
*The Elder Sister told the 3 to leave her alone. The Elder Sister went off and made her worshippers fight each other in her name for her own amusement.
*The 1st Son/Elder Brother welcomed his little sisters with open arms, he showed them the world and even play a game of catch the Grub with them (they loved it all). The All-Mother gave permission to the 3 to create their followers. The 3 created the Same race (This was interesting to the All-Mother): 4 armed aquatic/land saurian race (Powerful SDC Race) and granted their race Pearl and Clam Creation Wizardry...a fusion of magic and psionics to empower items for a limited time.
*The 3 Sisters are worshipped as a collective (not separately). The 3 also gave the race a thrist for exploration and "games".
*"Games" refers to the collection of valued items, hiding of valued items then guarding/trapping (harmless to lethal) of items. A map is made (many times coded), traded/given or placed in spots where it will be found. If able the trap (Maze Builder) will observe the treasure seekers and learn how to make "better" the guarding of the treasure.
*A short time passed and the All-Mother foresaw danger so she gave birth ( And for the last time. She used her power too soon preventing any farther children) to 4 more children: Sister Wind, Brother Plant, Brother Frost and Sister Flame. The All-Mother let them wander for she was drained for their birth.
*The 3 Sister gave them new borns a box and left. Opening the box their was a loud boom scarying the four. The four went running and crying. Each smell something good and went back to the box. Looking in each pulled out a candy treat and were happy.
*The new borns then Meet their Elder Sister (Anger filled the Elder's heart) she told the new borns that when their Mother gave them permission to create their followers to place them close to hers (smelling the candy treats on the breaths) that she would give them candy treats and give their followers something special, too. Then sent them on their ways.
*The four ran into Elder Brother and he welcomed with open arms. They played catch the Grub and then he went to teach them the arts of literacy and writing but they become bored and asked to leave. The Elder Brother smiled and handed each a scroll with symbols (words). Elder brother said whenever you wish to learn please return with your scroll and I'll teach you.
*The new borns left but keep thinking of the candy. So, they returned to the 3 Sisters and asked for more. The first candy was a gift the 3 said but if you had something to trade then maybe. All four handed the scrolls of Elder Brother to the 3 Sisters. The 3 gave each a bag of treats and then hide the scrolls throughout the dimension. 3 sisters offered treasure maps to the new borns but they didn't want the maps to the scrolls (to busy playing). So, they offered the maps to Elder Brother and Traded a few traps that he designed for the maps. He looked at each map the destroyed the map (He is not angery at the four but will make them work for their education).
*Tired the All-Mother finally calls the new borns forth and grants them permission to create their followers (and place them). Excited each works for the next month creating their races (with the help of Elder Sister), playing and eating treats (Elder Sister, providing an endless source but inside raging with each passing day).
*Plant Brother creates a plant(iod) bison (Moderate SDC Race) looking race and granted his new toys:Xeng Plant Chant (magic).
*Frost Brother created a ice wyrm (Qynn) race (powerful SDC race) and granted his new toys: Qynn Wyrm Scream (magic).
*Wind Sister created 4 eyed golden raven (3 to 4 ft long-not humaniod...big bird) race (Basic SDC race) and granted his new toys: Rustling Feather Sorcery.
*Flame Sister created a flaming one eyed wolf (not humaniod...wolf) race (Minor MDC) and granted his new toys: Burn Storm Spells.
*All New born placed their new toys around Elder Sisters land. Elder Sister's sent a small group of her worshippers to each location then (Elder Sister gave the four as many traets as they could eat) while the four were distracted by there treats. The Elder Sister gave her worshippers the order. The Insects attacked each of the four's "toys" the new borns fell to the floor in pain losing so many "followers". The Elder Sisters Army march to toward each new borns' followers location.
*The All-Mother screamed at Elder Daughter explaining a great danger comes and we will need all are powers to defend against them. Elder Daughter responded by telling her mother if this world was hers then the number of her followers would be so great no force could stop her. The All-Mother was still weak so she called to her creations and told them to help. The giants clashed with the insects in a bloody battle.
*The 3 Sisters had been observing and got Elder Brother.
*Elder Brother came in to sister and asked her to stop 3 time (she laughed at me each time). Unlike all the others, he through his continued experimenting and experience he mastered his Divine powers. He seized the worlds plates and split the lands into many pieces (islands) leaving Elder Sister's worshippers alone on a large land mass.
*Elder Sister's worshippers without anyone to fight started fighting themselves ** Insects:Cannot swim but hold breath for a while**(massively reducing her followers).
*Elder Sister went berserk and used all her power in one attack against Elder Brother.
*Without All-Mother intervention both would have been destroyed (instead both reduced to 5% MDC and healing slowed down) All-Mother had a long talk with Elder Sister.
*Elder Sister understands the need for the others but secretly want them ALL to serve her (Leader of Pantheon).
*To speed recovery Elder Sister started calling upon her worshippers to make sacrifices (Her Insect Kingdom was divided into 5 groups...each battle the other/sacrifice daily)
*Elder Brother wrapped his wounds and used Grub Juice. Sore one day, Elder brother stayed in bed playing with his wraps then discover he could make the wraps do things with his mind: he tried teaching this to his adopted children but learned only a select few have a talent for it: Psychic Wrap Weaving (A.K.A. Psychic Wrap Weaver).
*Elder Brother's adopted children and learned a secret from the sands. His children taught him how to make glass and infuse it with energy (but they warned him the glass is weak and breaks easily. His children call it: Ceremonial Glass Magic along with the magic two crystal: Nexus Crystal and Sun Crystal were given to him. His children said they de-coded a treasure map and found these (1 of his children died in the process). He taught them the Ulimate Grub Juice Mixture (a minor resurrection elixir).
*A Splugorth Fleet, a Mechaniod MotherShip and a few high tech Raiders have been stopped recently (see below why)
*A few random rifts have been opening now and then (Elder Sister trying to get useful things...nothing yet).
*Many Armored Devil Fish and Skeletal Bats came through into the world (3 Sister Followers love the fish and so do the Bats). The S-Bats are on a remote mountain island.
* 2 islands have become outsider "villages"...less then 160 each (Currently no true humans have made it to the planet...the sun {Yes, a mutant}: the mutant is all alone)
*The World is just starting to get interesting for the All-Mother.
*A strange Magic Race has taken root on the world (and one other Planet!!)

Splugorth, Mechaniod, and High Tech Raiders Defeat
Its more the Dimension then the Pantheon

SDC and MDC Plastic/Metal Erosion 1d6% of SDC/MDC of maximum per hour (Unless treated with Grub Juice mixture: apply then can add weeks to months to the metal/plastic before erosion)
Rune and Magic Item transformation : magic items lesser transform in 8d6 days to greater rune weapons transform in 2d6 years (Double with Grub Juice Treatments)
#Exception Eylor Eye:
Eye becomes glazed white (if leave this world becomes normal in 4d6 hours)
Blind unable to use any sight
All PPE/power (level to uses per day)/to PPE/Hover speed/ recover at half normal
lifespan of eye (or items with eye): 2d4x100 years
Other Magics## Cast not of this Dimension (Spells cast from magic items, runes, eylor doesn't count) transform into Magical Entities upon casting of the spell
##There are exception:
Create Golem, Create Mummy and Create Zombie: still works But increase IQ +2d4 and Has its own Free Will
Any Summoning Spell: Summons a Wrap Monster Creation (Under its own free will))
Animate and Control Dead The Dead Raise but are not under the mages control (Mindless Killing "Bones") Duration until destroyed. They never attack the one who raised them, however. (Necromancy will quickly become hated here!!)
Techology Energy/Tw-Battery Drain 2d6% of maximum per hour (Sun Crystal can be used as alternate power source)

Other Gods, Greater Demons, Nightlords and AI are at 1/4 PPE, ISP, regeneration rate and MDC. Godlings, Demi-Gods, Avatars, Fragments, Witches, Major Demons, Nightbane (human form unaffected) and Cosmo Knights are at 1/2 PPE, ISP, regeneration rate and MDC.

No effect on Mutant powers except Magic Empowered (No power here...each try creates a Magic Being), Magic Items (transformation in 3d6 months), and "Metal/Plastic" Alloy inventions(normal dimensional Erosion).

*Tattoo magic, Whale Songs, Dolphin Magic, Necromancer grafting parts still works as normal, Fleshscuplture (spells that alter the body-work fine), Bio Mancer (weapons and armor), Herbalist (Growing ability), a few dimensional spells work normally and some Bio-Wizardry.
*Normal Psychics Powers are 50% stronger here.

Sounds pretty cool! I hope you develope in depth. Maybe consider submitting it as a dimension book. If not that way, maybe you could submit it to the Rifter.

I would definately go the Rifter route first, that way you can get some feedback on the setting before you dig in an do all the work for a full book.

Yes, Living Magic would fill at home here and be welcomed to join the Created Ones (still working on name). As the pure (PPE) and untainted Race that will one day Rule this World and All Worlds Within the Megaverse.....All the "Created Ones" have an Obsession with Their race as being the perfect race and Godhood complex when dealing with all other "lesser" races.

Next question in the development process, and this is a favorite of Mr Siembedia BTW: who are the Player Characters? By that I mean, what kind of character am I supposed to play in this new world? Am I supposed to be playing a local, or can I bring my Hyperion Juicer here? And what kind of adventures should I be having in this setting?

I'll illustrate from one of my own manuscripts.

If I had to describe Thundercloud Galaxy in a sentence I would tell you "It's Colonial Africa in a space opera setting." I could elaborate, but right away, some images should start to develop in your mind that tell you what the overall mood or theme of this work is going to be.

If you asked me, "Who are the Player Characters?", I would say that they are men and women sent into the dark, hostile, and completely unexplored galactic frontier, and pretty much left to their own devices. Specific OCC's would include colonists, engineers, soldiers, doctors, explorers, scientists, and mercenaries. Adventures could be based around straight survival, planetary exploration, and conflict with either natives or one's fellow settlers.

Braden Campbell, I would first like to Thank you for your insights (and please, keep offering pointers). I was pretty much going to open up the world to All classes/races (and the 9 races of the world) but you got me thinking with your Hyperion Juicer. Since, the world/dimension is harsh on techology: Borgs, AI Robots, GlitterBoy Pilots, Computer Hacker, ect...would definitely Not be happy in this place at all. I'll have to think about what you wrote for a few days.

Well, I then would describe the world/dimension to someone as "It's the Swiss Family Robinsons in an exotic alien world. "
