What's the right MA form?
OK, so I have a concept for an NPC, high level, he should have a martial arts form that is hard hitting, and good for knock outs. good for bare handed fighting, even against multiple adversaries. kicking ability optional.
What would you use?
Restrictions include that I'd rather NOT use li chia KF, or kyokushinkai karate... if possible, I'd rather use a non chinese form as the character is not supposed to know Chinese.

There are a few in the Mystic China book that meet those requirement.
Look into the Ancient Master Power cat. Ether in the HU2 book or the back of the N&S book (HU1 conversions).

Mystic China... I was so bent on "not Chinese " I forgot to look there... I guess Li Chia or Shao Lin will have to do... got any more precise ideas? At first I thought Shan Tung or tong lun would be it, but the forms specific to MC are not very good on the KO side, except Ba Gua, but I'd rather have a more external form

There are some Non-asian Fighter forms found in a couple of the rifters.

There was the Kenpo in (I believe) Rifter 6, or the Indonesian Arts in Rifter 18. Otherwise look at the PMAN

Try Muay Thai. Knockout/Stun on an 18+ at 3rd level. Check out my breakdown of all the styles into pure numbers.

Relying on knockouts is bad, they tend to require natural rolls. If I was facing a group I'd want Aikido or Sumo. Automatic body flips are perfect for inflicting damage against a group which masses you, not to mention limiting the opportunities for them to spend attacks against you on every successful defense.
Offensively you can also get a 2-for-1 deal by critical-throwing people into other opponents and damaging them both.

Nice concept... I might go for atemi and vital points paralysis attacks instead of knockouts... jujutsu suddenly looks like a good option.

First thing that comes to my mind is Rifter 7. It has 2 forms that are scary good for KO's, namely Pugilism (aka Professional Boxing, pg 47-48) and Krav Mahga (pg 45).
