I have found myself asking that same question. I used to just try and squeeze both range and RoF in there, usually ending up spilling over into the margins. As a concequence, I really started to dislike using the character sheets provided due to lack of space/ having to write exceedingly small.
If you look around enough, there are people on the boards who have created their own sheets (they may even be stickied somewhere), some of those may be more to your liking.

I always assumed it was range ...as certain WP give you more range
