My pc group is stranded on a no name mudball with a Kreeghor Berserker class warship hunting for the borg.
The pcs are holed up in an Alien Marble Mine.
What tactics would an experienced Kreeghor Captain use to capture the runaway and his co-conspirators??
The reason I'm asking is, i want to out Tactics the players not overwhelm them with numbers.
Need some 3 Galaxy help.

The 1st thing I would do would to be to deploy sensor satellites and stay in a retrograde (other side of the planet) orbit. and work through the satellites to find those being searched for.
2nd would have a shuttle with a ready squad aboard so when the runaway showed itself they could get to the location rather quickly. or to get ahead of the group while they are traveling.

What does the experianced captian know about the people he is hunting? Know your enemy is the first rule of warfare. He will certainly use sattalights and remote platforms to scan for people, but what he does next will entirely depend on who he thinks they are.
Note: feel free to have the captian make some mistaken assumptions, or not know everything. Nothing irritates players more than when every opponent is omnicent about the characters skills and abilities.

Much thanks, with the team having really good Frontline combat, a Sea Inquisitor for magic defense and a Necromancer for recycling, these helpful hints will definately keep the battle from going the way they think.

Send a sensor drone inside the mine to confirm target location. Lance mine with warship class weaponry. Liberally apply cruise missiles until satisfied.

Just moved 24 TGE soldiers in level 7 so fairly experienced. Nobody took counter tracking measures so the number of men and location is known. Tomorrow i start the taking of the mine.

Going to grind them down a bit with human canon fodder, a Wolfen PA force as shock Troopers and finally the General and his two Kreeghor elite in power armor.
