Audiobooks

Unread post by Josh Hilden »

Now that Palladium is publishing fiction again, I think it'd be a great idea to do audiobooks. Audiobook creation and distribution are simple and more or easy to do.

I, for one, would buy them all.

Audiobooks of existing works would be fine but I would love to see them try to create actual audio dramas. Short serialized stories that could drive some interests in the games.

I have thought for a long time that radio stations would play a big part of Rifts Earth, out in the wilderness where there's no infrastructure to support other, better means of communication.
By that token, I've long thought that a podcast or other audio series might work really well for the setting. You could just have somebody talking about local events and such, along with survival tips, and so forth.
So yeah, I agree that there are a lot of things that could be done with an audio format.
