Looking at them seperately, Hwarang Do really sucks and Moo Gi Gong only has going for it the admittedly awesome ability to use any weapon or anythign as a weapon, other than that, it sucks.
TOGETHER?
It depends on if you combine APM together or not. The combat bonuses are still weak.
The combat moves are almost identical with Hwarang Do having just a few more.

totally, their only real asset is that they work together. Using anything as a weapon is okay and all, but 1D4 damage is the same as a fist, so how does it really matter?

W.P. Bonuses. You don't get any W.P. bonuses to your fist, you only get them with weapons. Moo Gi Gong gives you a W.P. in everything. with listed bonuses, so your bonus to strike and parry will always be higher with something in your hand than without, no matter what it is.
Damage per hit is the hit-and-parry ratio are much higher.

yeah that's true, I guess.
Re: Hwarang Do and Moo Gi Gong actually suck...???
Actually, it's 1d6 for melee items, and that's for objects not considered weapons, like using rolls of quarters as fist loads (for the +1d6 damage added to normal punch damage), and the ability to do 1d4 damage with a thrown pencil or playing card is still pretty impressive. But yeah, even before they were nerfed in the 'update' to Revised N&SS they weren't as effective as either Ninjitsu or Thai Kickboxing (the two Martial Arts that cost 2 MA forms to
buy).
