I don't think so since you can't play the game very well with just the main book.

With no dates asides from "sometime in 2005," I can't say that I'm encouraged. Are you working on anything, Jason, or are we left to wait for Kevin to finish a couple of BTS2 supplements, a new revision of VU, and a bunch of Rifts releases first. If it's up to Kevin, we might be asking this same question a year from now. :(

We'll talk about it once Arzno is done (off to my editor in a few weeks, I think). :)

Well from the Prss Release of January the Chaos earth books that will be out in 2005 are Chaos Earth:NEMA Mission book and Chaos Earth Psychic storm.

What do you think will be in the two books?

I for one have no problem with new ones coming out slow.

But then I tend to incorporate ALL Palladium Books into RIFTS, so I need them to come out slow, or I could not aford all of them, hehehehe.

Rise of Magic is mediocre at best - the fact that it requires Rifts and/or Rifts Book of Magic to be used properly is a serious drawback for me. I don't want to have to carry more books than is necessary, and it seems to me that Rise of Magic could have been expanded by 32 pages and, without much effort, become a much more substantive work. Of course, those problems are endemic to Chaos Earth. Much of the art in RoM really grated on me as well, given the setting's environment.

Creatures of Chaos is better, and the only significant disappointment in that book is the lack of a random monster generator.

As someone who has pretty much given up on newer Rifts titles yet still anticipate books in other lines (including Chaos Earth), I wish the pace of production would quicken, but I suppose that's a given. :P
