Remember, Cheyenne Mountain (in south-central Colorado) is almost twice as far from Yellowstone as Cheyenne, WY.
So a fictional event was debunked by the Discovery Channel?
NORAD is gone in Chaos Earth even if it really doesn't make sense.

I think that was just supposed to be the commonly accepted theory as to the disappearance of NORAD. It could have just shifted into dimensional limbo like Atlantis had been.

In my game Norad get rifted in time and come back in 109.p.a.
After they come back,strong leadership at the base maintained control of 20,000 troops they make a M.D walls around the Installation.
It did not take long before reconnaissance team reports of monsters and Alien beings came in.
Norad have M.D factorie and have Power Armors,Robots and Vehicles in Storage that can keep Aliens and Monsters at bay for 50 to 80 years needed.
For Norad to fall in will take the Combo of all the Colorado baronies or the Cs to take it down.
