Melee weapons too.
The PS damage bonus is only always SDC however.

Yes.
Only Thor with his magic belt gets to use his PS damage bonus as MD.
Creatures with supernatural strength used to, and I believe still do because in my opinion the new rule is in error, get to add their MD punch damage as a bonus in melee combat but now according to the few who care to use the new rule get the weapon damage or the punch damage whichever is higher with no bonus at all.

It should be noted that there are a few weapons that allow for supernatural strength (only) to stack with their weapon damage as well. Xiticix weaponry for example. As for why - there is no rhyme nor reason to it.

Yes, they get their PS damage bonus in 'Normal Damage'. All PS types get their PS bonus in Normal Damage.

No, Augmented PS and SNPS do not get their Punch damage added to the total.(canon standard)
As mentioned above by DoW, that there are exceptions. Take these on a case by case basis.
May you be blessed with the ability to change course when you are off the mark.
Each question should be give the canon answer 1st, then you can proclaim your house rules.

Actually there are no exceptions. If you accept the new rule it overrides all old rules including the redundant statements in the weapon descriptions. They were redundant because all they did was restate the original rule.

Re: P.S. questions
Ther ARE exceptions. the Mutant weapons in Madhaven were printed AFTER R:UE and thus supercede the rule in Ultimate Edition regarding those specific weapons.

Greetings and Salutations. In the last thread I mentioned 2 books prior to R:UE that had the same ruling as R:UE. But you keep saying it overrides the old rules. Now I've looked in the original Rifts book and don't find a ruling either way, nor have I found the ruling you're claiming in the original Conversion Book One. I'll grant Rifts isn't really my main system. So, in what Rifts book does it state this "original" rule? I'd just like to see it for myself. Again, I'm looking for a Rifts source, as the Megaversal system isn't really that Megaversal in application and there are a lot of changes between systems. I'm not trying to dismiss you Doom, I'm actually trying very hard to give you the benefit of the doubt. However, whenever I find the rule in a Rifts book it's always the same as in R:UE (with some minor changes, but still the same overall rule) making those exceptions as valid as ever (since as near as I can tell the rule for Rifts never changed). I don't mind being wrong (when I am), but if you're going to say I'm wrong I want you to at least back it up with some type of source. Thank you for your time and patience, please have a nice day. Farewell and safe journeys.
