Yesterday, the first three CE books arrived, and I've already read Chaos Earth cover to cover and have read most of Creatures of Chaos, and some of Rise of Magic.

Its damn good.

My players are in for some real treats.

I love my chaos earth book it is one of the greatist RPGs Ive ever bought
Svartalf- if Cherico were a character created in a point game system, he'd have all his scores in geeky skills and his youtube and weird net stuff schticks all paid through a a Terminal Bad Luck (with more nasty GM intervention) disadvantage, and probably an Uncouth (can not have social skills) disad as well...
In an RPG with deadly situations that character would have had to be replaced a dozen times over[

Yeah it is an awesome series. I was pumped when I read the excerpts in the Rifters. I can't wait to run my game at Origins. It will be my first of C.E.

Hopefully this will be a setting that stays gritty and harsh. It's got a fantastic feel/mood, and I would hate to see it ruined with a constant barrage of tech nation after tech nation rising from the ashes (we've got enough of that in Rifts). I loved the Creatures of Chaos book, because it was chock full of MDC baddies that could be defeated with everyday SDC weapons (silver, wood, animals, etc...).

I think there should be a whole crapload of SDC weapons and armor out there as well. MDC could easily be regulated in most CE games.

A decent game though there is somethings I do not like about it.
If it's stupid and it works. It's not stupid

Palladium can't be given a free pass for criticism because people have a lot of emotion invested in it.

Pathfinder is good. It is not the second coming of D&D.

Surshot is absolutely right. (Kevin Seimbeda)

When I step out of line the mods do their jobs. I don't benefit from some sort of special protection.
