Wolfen quatoria are great.
My fave type of 'borg, in fact.
Then again, wolfen are my fave race, so... there ya go.
Eyes without life, maggot-ridden corpses, mountains of skulls... these are a few of my favourite things.

I am the first angel, loved once above all others...

Light a man a fire, and he's warm for a day; light a man on fire, and he's warm for the rest of his life.

Turning the other cheek just gets you slapped harder.

Aside from their external organic component, Yeah they'd probably survive in a vacuum. Depending on how long the exposure is say a brief time it would probably be OK. Any extended time it would probably flake off as it became freeze dried. The borg itself would be ok for as long as it's O2 supply held out.

You can't go wrong with a Wolfen.

I have Wolfen super-heroes, Wolfen Cowboys in Rifts, Wolfen in all my PFRPG campaigns, Wolfen in my BtS and N&SS games...
There's no bad place for a Wolfen.
Quartoria rock, although I have only been able to use one as an NPC.

They should make a Dances With Wolves movie with Wolfen.

Or, An American Wolfen in London.

Teen Wolfen.

Never Cry Wolfen.

Air Wolfen.

Night Wolfen.

Curse of the Wolfen, in which the main character turns into a human at the rising of the Sun.

I have taken to using Wolfen in Asgard proper. They make a nice addition to the landscape.
Don't forget, Odin was also known as Wolf-Brother.

I have both made a Wolfen as a player (limited play time), and GM'd for a wolfen. I've had some NPC wolfen and have a coyle as a PFRPG character (and bad*** to boot). I have NPCs work with local authorites, but never with merceneries (maybe later down the line). My players often get upgrades with successful mission completion...and as favors. One thing I've grown fond of doing is giving out "skill chips" to download directly into the Wolfen's main cpu. This allows limited access to previously unknown skills, and depending on the "chip" can actually be learned permenantly.
