Help with Google Mapping Rifts Earth

I started work on a Google Earth "Layer" that contained the major Rifts NA locations - could send you what I've done so far if you like. Bit basic at the moment though!

I had a .JPG of a flat earth map post apocalypse on my old PC and lost it... It was pretty nice. Now all I have is an atlassof the continental US I scanned and edited... its incomplete but it serves as an ok reference for things like distance. For some reason none of my players have opted to play a magic user, thus they pretty much hoof it every where.

Just how hard is it to make those layers and modifications to Google Earth, is it something your average end user would be able to do, or is it something that requires some sort of programming experience.

Doesn't making those kinda maps require use of the GoogleMaps API? And if so does anyone have the software and is willing to help out?

I looked into this awhile back but came to the decision that I didn't want the maps bad enough to spend money on it AND have to do all the work myself.

Damn, being lazy gets annoying sometimes. :lol:

I always felt that Photoshop would be the best way to do it...

The only thing is that you don't compress any of the layers...this way you can flip through all the information...

Arzno is located just west of the North Rim visitors at the Grand Canyon. the skydocks are right on top of Widforss point.
